Why are people satisfied with the idea that happiness , bliss , "heaven" can only come after a long life of gratefull suffering? Why arent people more interested in finding heaven , bliss , happiness , while alive to know it?How can any one intelligently justify suffering all the way until death , in the hopes of being happy after death?!?

If everyone in the world had a total brain reboot, so that they remembered only the most basic techniques for survival, how long do you think it would take before we rediscovered/reinvented the following:
Religion?
Marriage?
War?
Music?
Prejudice?
National boundaries?
Prostitution?
(Assume that all historical evidence for these things had been wiped clean as well.)

It would make reincarnation and talking to the dead using mediums seem to make more sense. We could develop our astral travelling skills to explore our previous incarnations and learn from our previous and future selves and others to avoid making mistakes. We could work towards enlightenment and modify the future to a better one. I do not like or choose to believe in the "End of Days" outlook. What are your thoughts?
