Why are people satisfied with the idea that happiness , bliss , "heaven" can only come after a long life of gratefull suffering? Why arent people more interested in finding heaven , bliss , happiness , while alive to know it?How can any one intelligently justify suffering all the way until death , in the hopes of being happy after death?!?

Satisfaction is a subjective term, not objective. Therefore, either be happy now, or will never be happy (even after death). Good question.

People are content with being miserable until they die because for one thing, it is effortless to be miserable. With the "being content" part, people are fixed on the idea of "'heaven' can only come after a long life of gratefull suffering." This idea is not even justified. Who knows if life after death would bring bliss? Nobody's even proven this. When one has the choice between misery and happiness, it is a mistake to continue to live in misery thinking that death would change that.

Because people have evolved following the "wrong path', all these millenia, and with the passing of time, they settle for the easiest and comfortable way of living although in many cases that means unemployment, they sit on their little sofas watching tv, not knowing that although they think they are pleased with their lives, theya re trully miserable. They want to make a difference in this world and don't know how to reach this goal of theirs.
Keep it up with this kind of questions. I really enjoied this oen...
Cheers!

Most people tend to take the path of least resistance.

I suspect there are people who do try to make a heaven on earth for themselves only to be pounded down. How many times you get back up again depends on the individual. The reasons for why people stay down are many, but again, it probably boils down to it's just easier.

With due respect, I don't think your question is based on a premise generally accepted to be true. Everyone in this cruel world work hard to be happy and stay alive even if they know it is something which is difficult to achieve. Most of us are contented with what we have and by so doing, I say we are willing to go on with our lives.

"Without pain and suffering life is not complete." A heart has to break to understand what love is, the body has to go through pain to understand what pleasure is and all the suffering that we go through is a result of the SIN that we acquired from our ancestors. Gold, has to be tried by fire...only then it gains its luster and value.

Being MISERABLE is the lazy mans way of coping with the unknown. It takes great effort to rise above ignorance. Most would prefer to wallow in discontentment, in lei of raising their vibration to one of optimism and enlightenment.

I think some people just feel hopeless and it easier just to feel miserable about your life than to anticipate anything good happening anymore.
