Although the education level that you can provide to your kid at home may be better than our abysmal public school system, aren't you harming your kid's social development by keeping him or her away from other kids? It's important for kids to learn how to interact with other people, especially those their own age. Depression could also be a problem if you are being forced to learn with only your tutor/family around you. When kids hit college, I have a feeling that they will be socially inept and awkward, which could be harmful and uncomfortable for them.

I have heard very conflicting statements that state either time for this tradition to be done. In many other cultures they have food to be eaten on the eve, midnight, or the day. Does anyone know the "real" way this southern tradition should be celbrated and why?

For those children that dont get allowance i belive they are slaves. They are put to do chores and order by their parents for about 18 years which sound like slavery for me.

Raised my ex-wifes daughter from the time she was born till she was almost 3. Still see her once or twice a year. Sometimes she calls me by my name sometimes by Dad. Went to her graduation party 2 summers ago. Went to her wedding last summer. Those were the 2 times I met her husband. Shes stopping over tonight. I have two Christmas cards for her, one for daughter, and one for daughter and "son". Which should I give her? Don't know him to call him "son", but think it might be rude to exclude him. What to do?

I been on birth control for a month (yaz). I started the first day of my period. But my period has lasted a hole month so now I am going to have the white pill and my period is going to start again so can i have 2 periods at once? Is my period going to be super heavy please please help!

ps i normially have month long periods that are super heavy (that's why i went on birth control)

I don't see much of anything else that sustains god belief in an otherwise educated society.
Everyone I know who believes in a god was raised that way.

If we could somehow stop getting kids hooked on it, would that lead toward the demise or lessening of religion?

Or is it a phenomenon that will always exist in society no matter what?

I just had my 2nd baby 3 mos. ago and am really stressed out lately due to things at home that is going on. Everytime I brush my hair, so much hair is in the brush! Even long strands and it's been going on for about a month now. I don't know what to do...does anyone have any suggestions?
