do boxelder bugs always stink when you crush them?

the bugs that i have totally act and look like the descriptions that I can find, however, some sources cite that they stink when you crush them - mine don't. i live in new jersey, usa.

they will usually have a bit of an odor...not really a strong "stink" that you might find with sink bugs, but the odor is one of the complaints heard when they are inside the walls by the thousands
