Let me explain myself

Ok, so I'm a guy (21 yrs old) and this holiday season I've already anticipated that I was going to become lonely and I was going to avoid getting into anything because I know my loneliness would be a driving force. I'm also going to be going to australia in july so I don't want to get into anything right now. But there's this girl I've had some interest in since summer and we've had some convos (mostly online, a few in person). She goes to school in so. cali. I'm also really just trying to get to know her to see if she'd be a good fit for me, so far she seems like a good fit in most areas. The past couple of days I was at a retreat and there was another girl there that I paid a lot of attention to... one of those really captivating personalities and pretty smiles. I just feel like a bit of a emotional rollercoaster... some good advice would help :D.

Me and my friend got this job at a haunted house type thing (actually voluentered because our friend is over it) and part of this job is that her and I must stand in a dark hallway which is seperated by a black trashbag-like wall which is beside the clown room, which has 2 dudes working in it. Well, while waitin 4 people to come we pal'ed around and pretended to hit each other and stuff, but once I was standing and this dude grabbed my ankle, made be fall and when he did he "caught' me right before I hit the ground...and he caught "all" of me. I was sorta freaked out and he was like "whoops" and held on for 3 seconds longer than nessicary. Same dude would walk arm-in-arm with us & do a side boob grab. Then other dude just came beside me when I was standing in the dark, put his head beside my hips and grabbed my butt and held on the whole entire wait. I told my friend and she was like "Really? Lucky!" (they were sorta hot, and they only got me & not her)

my son has alot of books and enjoys looking and "reading" them with me and he has 2 in paticular that he enjoys the most and when I name the titles of the book he goes and searches for them in the pile and brings it to me! I just thought that was impressive! Is this "normal" around this time? I just found it advanced, but I am new at this.

I've asked this before, months ago; didn't get a good answer for it, so I thought I'd try it again. As many old-school martial arts movie fans know, the background music for these films, is a lot of times, sampled from popular U.S. films; I've heard familiar themes in these chop socky flicks, from stateside films, like "Rocky", "Carrie", "Superman", and several others...

In Jackie Chan's 1978 action/comedy "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow", 1 of the familiar themes in the film, is from Mel Brook's film, "Silent Movie"; however, in another part of the film, where Jackie's character goes out in an empty courtyard, and finds chalk-mark footsteps, laid out in sequence, by an old martial arts master, trying to teach Jackie his style of kung fu, the background music, showing Jackie working out the footsteps, is definitely a familair piece of music by the synthesizer progressive rock band, Tangerine Dream...

...would anyone be able to tell me what the name of that piece of music is???

Occasionally the veins in my hands and wrists appear larger than normal. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant, so I know how to take BP, but unfortunately I do not have a cuff at home. My pulse is normal, around 80-85 BPM. I get headaches upon awaking nearly every morning, but it has been like that for many years. I only get nosebleeds when I have a cold. I last had my BP measured a couple months ago, and it was 110/70 (which is normal for me; I tend to run on the low side.)

However, my father has hypertension, so I'm afraid that I may be starting to develop it. I recently got the Lupron Depot shot to control my endometriosis, and prior to that I was on OCPs. I am only 17 years old, I have never smoked, I am borderline overweight, I have never consumed alcohol, and I have moderate salt intake.

Could the "puffier" appearance of my veins be a sign of hypertension?

Ok soooooo this post is in response to a question about a speech someone wrote claiming the evils of racing and how she spent weeks researching how evil it was and how accurtae her information was. Why do people think that the click of a mouse and a search engine gives them ALL the knowledge and answers to a certain topic and suddenly makes them an expert? I'm so tired of seeing posts about how cruel and inhumane and evil racing is , when I guarentee you the people claiming this have either never seen a race or the work that goes into these horses in person, or they have only seen the FREAK ACCIDENTS that have happened and therefore deem the entire sport as horrible and cruel. Am I the only one who thinks this?

So I'm 18 years old and I just moved to Boston. I'm interested in taking dance classes (specifically lyrical, hip hop, jazz) and I wanted to know if anyone knew of any really good dance schools in the area; as well as any schools that are racially and culturally diverse (cause that's important to me)!!

Any suggestions are much appreciated!!!

BTW..I'm not looking in to going to a dance school (im already enrolled in college) but I'm looking for somewhere I can take classes in the afternoon or on the weekends

I got some 'monster' slippers for Christmas (the big furry sort) and now the cat runs away every time she sees them, she even strikes a hunting pose and attacks them!!!

Seriously, are cats this stupid that they can't distinguish a slipper from another animal?

In Turkey, one can see flags are everywhere. On balconies, in shop windows, on taxis, some of them in huge sizes seen from everywhere. Even some churches in Istanbul now have Turkish flags in their gardens. Why does a church put a flag in its garden? Do Turks have a deeper fear? Against whom are all these flags hoisted? Has every day turned into a national day? If these flags belong to every Turkish person who is bound to this country with Turkish citizenship, who is trying to say what and to whom?
