Chicago's career is 40 YEARS and counting..
Air Supply had 1 maybe 2 hits...
I think Chicago is the better band here..

Both are/were equally as good.
I enjoyed listening to them both in the 80s, when they were most popular. Chicago really lost something when Peter Cetera left the band. If he had stayed, I think Chicago would have maintained their popularity and quality of music. Chicago 17 is my favorite album by them.
As for Air Supply, they were the king of romantic love songs back then. I still have a couple of their LPs. Air Supply was a really good group. I miss hearing their music.

Chicago is a better all around band. Air Supply has some good love songs.

Chicago for sure, especially early Chicago. Asking who is better, Chicago or Air Supply is like saying what's better, Thanksgiving dinner or a stick of gum!
