starving?

I have a Top Fin Aquascene 5 Aquarium Kit from Petsmart. The filter that came with it is called Whisper micro filter. The directions are so confusing to me... basically, the way the filter is set up, it makes it so the cord is actually in the water. Is this normal? the cord says "fully sumbmergible" on it... please help!

I'm trying to plan a trip to Walt Disney World in February and have discovered that the time I want to go is something called President's Week. The days I'm planning are Thursday Feb 21 to Tuesday Feb 22 (or Wednesday Feb 23), which apparently only covers a few days of President's Week.
Naturally, I have no idea what this is and what this means in terms of people being off work and schools being out. Are schools out during this week, do people get the week off? What's the deal with it?
Last time I went to Disney in February, it was dead (was the weekend and few days after the Superbowl was in Jacksonville), so I'm hoping to get the same light to not-so-heavy crowds.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I bought a 2000 Jaguar XK8 convertible from a auction . The car was in a accident and the air bags deployed the car won''t start it wont click or nothing even with a hi out put charger.The only thing comes on is the dash lights. why wont my car start?

im 8 months pregnant. i live in sc. my job terminated me about a week ago. my manager told me it was becuase of three complaints but she didnt know what they were. that unabled her to give me a verbal warning. whoever she spoke to told her it was out of her control and to let me go. i had to track down the district manager to find out the story but even then with that being done, i was already terminated with a phone call before i spoke to her. i just called to find out what the complaints were. what can i do about this? can this really happen? can they get away with this? did i mention i never recieved a write up EVER as long as i have been working with this company.

I am 13 and am 5'1 at 121-125 pounds. Whenever I look in the mirror I just see a chubby girl, my mom and sis tell me that I am just having illusions in my brain and that I am not fat and that i have a cute body but I just feel really fat and miserable 'cause all the girls at my school are soooo SKINNY and have flat stomachs... I have a German shepard/golden retreiver/greyhoud mix that chases anything that runs. It has killed the neighbors duck and a stray cat. He seems to think that anything that runs wants to play. Unfortunatley he is bigger than most things and ends up killing them. Help please.

I have an idea for my 10th wedding anniversary. I want to take my wife to the place we met 10 yrs ago - unfortunately they tore the building down and rebuilt a doctor's office in its place. A few years ago, my 12 year old cousin (a boy) was sexually molested by an adault male. Since then, my cousin has sexually molested his two younger brothers, younger family friends, and young boys at his school. My aunt is completely detatched from the boy, is in denial, and refuses to take him or pay for therapy. She continues to let the child share a room with the younger brothers and go to friends houses without warning the parents. I'm sick to my stomache and don't know what to do to help this sick child.
