I have a Top Fin Aquascene 5 Aquarium Kit from Petsmart. The filter that came with it is called Whisper micro filter. The directions are so confusing to me... basically, the way the filter is set up, it makes it so the cord is actually in the water. Is this normal? the cord says "fully sumbmergible" on it... please help!

Yes, as a fully submersible cord, it is intended to be under water. If it is completely out of the water, you did something wrong... so, you set it up right.

yes its normal because it is like a pond filter so the cord is submerged in the water so the filter can work
