I am in my first year of studying engineering, with the focus of becoming a aviator in the Navy. I want to be a strong candidate. I figured that if I get some exposure to the service I could add weight to my resume when I apply for a pilot slot. So, I really like the sounds of the Navy reserves, as long as it does not interfere too much with my studies.

My parents are american, I was born in australia, I have a GC, and will be a citizen well before I complete my studies, so no barriers there.

any advice please?

Hi,

Me and my ex were unimates and we have been together for more than a year. He broke up with me last night because he says that he doesn't see us in the long term, and he is attracted to another girl who is his colleague. He has graduated and is currently working, while I am in my junior year. But he doesn't want to discard our period of relationship and regret it, so he is giving himself a week to figure things out. He keeps saying he doesn't know what he is doing, and he needs a little time. What does this mean? Do you think I should give him another chance? I was very serious with him, and we are staying in the same house, but in different rooms. I would deeply appreciate any advice and opinion/ perspective.

okay so this guy never texts anyone, not even his best friend, and if you text him, he'll just ignore you

but a few days ago he texted me first and we talked for 3 hours through text and then after that we have been texting randomly and so idk i've liked him for awhile now so i'm sure he knows it and i also told he's best friend that i like him, and he said that he would ask him if he likes me back whenever he gets the chance, but the best friend hasn't yet so i'm stuck sitting here and wondering

but yeah i'm just really confused, or am i over analyzing too much? anyways, do you think he likes me? oh and the best friend even said that him texting me first was really strange that he did that cause he never talks to anyone, and he also said that it was a good thing

My husband and I drive 45 miles to work. He works across town. I have no vehicle, it's at work with him (he dropped me off this morning). I have no voice, an earache from heck, a sore throat and I am coughing things up. I have a chiropractor's appt. this afternoon that I probably shouldn't miss. (I normally speak with plenty of people on the phone every day, but I could use email.) What do you think I should do? It would be nice to get some rest and have a longer weekend, but I dont want to cut my husband's day short either. Should I schedule a doctor's appt.? They will probably just tell me to take hot showers to clear congestion and drink plenty of fluids. If anyone knows and remedies I can use here at work to make me a little more comfortable, I would appreciate them!

I love Paramore. I've never heard anything like them before, Hayley is an inspiration, and Zac, Jeremy and Josh are amazingly dedicated to the band. When my best friend went to San Fransisco in October, he said Paramore was huge, and there were posters and TVads all over the place. A while ago I asked who liked Paramore, and I got a lot of answers saying Paramore was 'just another rock/emo band'.

So what I'm asking now is which bands do you find similar to Paramore?

Plus, if you like Paramore, which album do you like better, Riot! or All We Know Is Falling?

Im looking for a new graphics card and i got a good deal for a nvidia geforce 8500 gt. But im kind of iffy on buying it because i dont know if it supports pixel shader 3.0. Most games coming out require graphics cards with 3.0, so itll be kind of pointless to buy a card that cant play the game i buy.
