flash will replace cd's
hd or bluyray will replace dvd

CDs only hold 700MB of info - and once its full you can't record any more data on it (unless its a CDRW). Flash memory can be bought so cheaply now (like $12 for a 1GB flash) that hold more than the CD did, is lightning fast and can be used over and over... also, more and more stereos are providing USB inputs so that you will be able to put your music on it and listen to it in your car as well... I don't see CDs hanging on much longer.

As far as DVD replacement - its more of the same... its either going to be BluRay or HD DVD - not sure what format is going to win this war... but its basically just the same thing as a DVD, only it holds more data by providing more layers to write the data to.

Sooner or later I think flash will replace everything.
