My 13 year-old stepson came home with a $100 bill and asked his mother to use it to buy a digital camera for his girlfriend. He says his girlfriend gave him the $100 bill for Christmas so he is buying her the camera in return. I think the whole thing sounds fishy and don't really think any 13 year-old girl would give her boyfriend a $100 bill for Christmas. My stepson has a tendency to lie about things.

My solution would be to politely make sure the girl's parents, who we haven't met yet, know about the initial gift and make sure they feel it is appropriate.

His mother's solution is to just trust him and buy the camera and wait for the next thing that doesn't make sense to pop up. She is embarrassed to admit to strangers that she might not trust her son.

This is our first experience with a teenager, but when I was a teenager, we exchanged cassette tapes or maybe clothes, but never cash and never in that amount.

Has anyone else had an experience like this? Any advice?

Last night, I had my husband arrested. He has never been violent in the past, but yesterday he slapped our 4 year old hard enough to leave welts on her face. It took me completely by surprise and I called the cops immediately. I can't let anyone get away with treating my kids in such a way.

He was arrested for child abuse and now here I am without him. I've been a stay at home mom. I need to find a job so I can support my kids. I need to figure out how I'm going to get my rent together this month. I'm overwhelmed and on top of everything else I keep grieving the man that my husband used to be. I found out he didn't pass his drug test at the jail last night, which explains why his mood was so strange. But I could never trust him around my kids again, so we're done for good now. I'm just heartbroken and sick that it had to end because I truly do love him- but not enough to keep my kids at risk of his behavior.

I can't afford any counseling right now. I just need some friendly advice..

i used to have limewire and downloaded about 15 songs and i heard of the woman that got sued for some other P2P website and she downloaded 24 songs. i did not know downloading song was illegal im very young. but i sure did delete limewire and never using it again but im terrified

I hope everyone gets their "Greatest rocker/band/song/lyrics" questions answered today but my question is a little deeper:

What is your favorite concept album and what was the concept?

My favorite is probably "The Who Sell Out" by The Who, which is a sarcastic look at commercialism.

Also, "Wish You Were Here" by Floyd is a no-brainer, which deals with the departure of Syd Barrett.

I got hurt on the landlord's property due to his negligence of not fixing the porch as he was told to. I have medical bills that are up to my neck and he is hiding his insurance. what are some ways i can trick him into telling me his insurance.someone told me to ask him about renters insurance and him what company i can use. or i can just go up to him and ask him? which one is better anyone have any ideas. i was at my frnds place for a sleepover.and i returned few hours back.i just came to know that my frnds bro had kept his digital cam in the bathroom,behind the window.
he shot the whole thing.me being naked and taking a shower, while singing some nonsense..
he says he did this to get revenge.i was the cause of his breakup wid his gf.trust me, he is not a good guy, and this is the one reason i asked my frnd to break up with this freak
but now i am in total ****! he says hes gna give to the ppl at school and even email the link to the video to all his contacts..! wht shud i do?! how do i stop him?!

Was i being an jerk?
twouys came to the gym with their sister,girlfriend(of the one guy)They aren't particularly fond of me because of tension i've had with her(she's persian so it's a different culture)and various incidents.They were in one section working out and i basically stayed near them in that section and glanced at them from time to time and i wouldn't venture too much out of there.Eventually the guy looked at me when my back was turned.Do you think they were annoyed?I don't take crap from anyone although i wasn't trying to start anything i stayed steadfast in the areain.(i continued to work out,but kept my eye on them as well).I didn't go anywhere near the girl though.She looked like she may have wanted to talk but i just ignored her.But anyway,about the two guys,why were they giving me those vibes?

We have been dating for almost 4 years now. We have discussed it in length. He said he wants to wait until we are more financially stable, but we are already living together. I thought that Christmas would be the day. I really wanted a mixer, but I told him that if he is going to spend that much money, he might as well buy a ring. The mixer can wait and isn't that important. I woke up christmas morning and there, under the tree, was the freakin' mixer. My heart sank. I don't know how to approach him about it because I honestly thought that the matter was settled. No mixer, get ring! We've been living together for almost a year now. Did I make the wrong choice moving in together? Will he ever marry me? I told him that I don't want to wait YEARS. My goal is to be married by the time i'm 25, which is next year...I'm very heart broken right now and I just don't know what to do. I know he loves me, but does he want to be with me?
