Cut out any suitable pictures to be used as a gift tag, then put the rest in the recycle bin.

My sister and display them on our walls every year. She has cards that I gave her when my oldest son was a newborn. I have cards from her that are from years ago as well.
When I visit her home, it's like a little trip back in time...my family has grown from 1 to 8 children, and I can 'see' them grow up, as their handwirting has gone from scribbles to the adult and teen penmanship they have today.
Job changes, friends old and new, many who are no longer with us, are all displayed on our walls.

Cut the fronts up to re-use as tags next year then put the remainder in the recycling bin.

We normally howf them intae the recycling bin at Tesco!!

give them to the local pre brownie group
the gemstones
they make things out of them next christmas
calanders, gift tags etc and they sell them for a small donation to raise funds for the city homeless refuge

If they have good pictures I turn them into bookmarks.
I do the same to birthday cards.
