Sadly, my grandmother is gone. But I can always use $20. And I don't know anyone who can't.

I wish my grandmother were still alive to give me a smile.
Aunt Barbara is 90; she gave me $25. I am sad to say that she might not be here next year. Hug your grandmama for me, ok?

No, haven't heard from my grandmother in over 25 years. She doesn't like me or my brothers.

I never got money from my grandparents. What a grandparent decides to give is their business, and may well find it to be an insult that the recipient not want it. What appears to be an assumption on your part is hardly a valid point to be issuing what is so obviously a sneer against someone.

Nah she doesn't give me $$ anymore, we go shopping together instead.
Then we get trashed and talk crap about various family members.
