I live in Dallas and have seen how in the last ten years how immigrants (legal and illegal) have depressed wages for unskilled americans. Aren't those the people the democrats once cared about. They have decimated the opportunities for blacks. Plus they eat up health care services for the uninsured and other social programs. Don't say they pay taxes too since studies show a family needs to make nearly $40k before they pay more in taxes than they consume in government programs. Education has been dumbed down too since it takes more money and time to teach non-english students. The new immigrants are also socially conservative. Being a gay guy I notice more evil looks from spanish speakers than from citizens. Plus they keep increasing the population growth in the US, the world's greatest per capita greenhouse polluter. Seems they hurt everything democrats stand for like narrowing the income gap, to better social services, to education, to the enviroment. So why the big support??

I'm going to Cocoa Beach, Florida in March for spring break with my friend. I'm 21 but she's only 20 so I want to go the bars and she won't be able to. I was wondering if there were any sort of dance/night clubs in that area that are 18+ but also offer beverages for adults. If anyone is from that area or knows anything about it I would really appreciate some help.

I classify myself as a moderate stutter and tend to trip up on certain words (ie. words that begin with the letter s) and have a hard time communicating clearly. I am currently debating if I should apply to pharmacy school. I have researched this career and believe that I am capable of handling all the stress and workload in science and math courses. However, I also realize that becoming a pharmacists means being an effective communicator, which is why public speaking is one of the pre-pharmacy courses. I also am aware that in pharmacy schools, many presentations are part of the class. Is anyone in the same position as me or has went through this before? I really need some guidance and advice to eliminate this fear.

I'd like to create a context for my question. 1st I think it's necisary to dispell the myth that all undocumented immigrants are Mexican. though the vast majority of immigrants are LATINO, Latino's come from many different countries. I'm going to use El Salvador as an example. The first step in applying for a US visa is to request an interview at the US embassy. It costs $100 to be granted an interview with a representative at the US embassy. Merely being interviewed is no assurance of being legally admited; there are a host of other applications, requirements, and fees. The average income of a family in El Salvador is approximately $100/month. The fact is, a family making $100/month could never afford to pay for a $100 interview for each family member, much less the potential thousands of dollars needed to purchase legal immigration status. So why does US immigration policy force the vast majority of Latin Americans to immigrate illegaly?

I met this girl during like 3 months ago, and i liked her alot. So i handed her a note during one of our classes at school and i asked if she would like to go out because she is very nice and fun to talk to. She ended up telling me she would totally go out with me but shes talking to someone else right now, but she did give me her phone number. All the sudden two days later she texts me and we end up talking for hours. now we talk everyday, and i know she doesnt have a boyfriend, but i dont now if I should to ask her again?

At first it was annoying. Now I'm a little worried. I just quit smoking, I have high amounts of stress, and the sleep I get is minimal.

I was walking around when a man asked me if I could help him ......I looked at him and said..."I am bound by the NAME OF GOD"....and as I said this tatoo like marks were extremely noticeable on my forearms and my body....and as I spoke they turned into fire.....I told the man that I can help him....but he had to understand I was bound by God....
The writing was some old form....I didnt recognize it.....please help.......

A lot of my dreams lately are dealing with tattoos....I also had one were I dreamnt an evil man covered in "aryan" tatoos...but on his belly was the emblem of the Thule Society...I had never seen it before....I scoured books until I found it.

I'm 23, and I just found out I was 6-7 weeks pregnant! I was really happy. I took the test after feeling ill every single day for a few weeks.. Then 3 days ago, Xmas eve, I hit my stomach pretty hard, by tripping and falling into a computer chair.. It wasnt nearly as hard as a punch or anything, but it really freaked me out. I'm worried to death, because the day after I wasnt as nauseated as I usually am, and today either.

Will my baby be okay?? Would symptoms just stop THIS soon or am I having a small break from them? I'm really scared and worried, and I feel like a clumsy idiot. In a previously pregnant womans opinion, or someone very knowledgeable in this field, pleasee tell me if I should be worried. My mom told me theyre tough little buggers, but I didnt tell her what happened.

I read in a work of fiction that in the seventeenth century a man would use a sillk handkercheif as a condom as contraception. Anybody know if there's any truth to this? doesn't sound like it would work too well, but, well, very little of their medecine did. They were using leeches, and cutting off limbs in the 17th c. so...just wondering if anyone else has heard this one.
