Seriously, think about it. Could you imagine the possibilities of having someone write a religion around you?

Roman Warrior: Is the Bible the only evidence that you use? I'm a former Christian, and so I have read the Bible before. It's apparent that everything said about Jesus in that book claims he was God incarnate.
Orita: I didn't say anything about being a comedian. Don't be so stuck up.

The keyword here people was "supposedly." I did not mean to disrespect you or anything. I'm just thinking with one side of evidence in this question to see what people think. I seek truth all over.

In different versions of the Bible ,Jesus is :The Son of God. Son of man. Son of the Father. The Word. The Word made Flesh.God.The second person of the Holy Trinity. The Eucharist.Emmanuel. Yahweh.Jehovah.
Who is the real Jesus?
EDIT...Jesus did not become "a god"...Jesus was already God, The Second Person of The Holy Trinity.Christians will say there is no mention of a Trinity in the Bible. But the Bible speaks of a TRIUNE GOD which is the same as trinity.

Let the evidence about Jesus stand on it's own.
1. What he said about himself: - He claimed He was the Son of God and spoke to God as His father in heaven.
2. What a secular ruler/judge said about him: - Pontius Pilate a Roman Governor gave absolutely no hint to what you are claiming and made every attempt to release him upon examining him. If he was a lunatic he would have kept him incarcerated for the public good since he was accused of claiming to be the son of God and causing an insurrection, a crime punishable by death.
3. What a true madman (Herod Antipas) said about him: - Herod claimed he was a madman, and since a madman does not have the capacity to call another that which himself cannot conceive, he was falsely accusing him.
4. What the religious leaders thought of him: - The Jewish sect of the Pharisees whom tried to prove he was mad, never succeeded and had to resort to false accusation, a secret trial and political blackmail through a mad mob to stop him. Yet even they whom had the ability to verify or falsify miraculous signs could not contest his astonishing miracles.
If you are truly a man seeking truth, then follow the evidence, not your own vehement assertions based perhaps on past disappointment.

Man can be come a God. All the sects of Hinduism say this truth. Every man can be come a God. There is a yoga called 'Raja yoga" which tells how to gain super powers from the nature PRACTICALLY to be a God. It says all the powers are into this body. But no one try to reveal it.
The Hindu does not want to live upon words and theories, If there are existences beyond the ordinary sensuous existence, he wants to come face to face with them. If there is a soul in him which is not matter, if there is an all-merciful universal Soul, he will Rota Him direct. He must see Him, and that alone can destroy all doubts. So the best proof a Hindu sage gives about the soul, about God, is: ‘I have seen the soul; I have seen God.’ And that is the only condition of perfection. The Hindu religion does not consist in struggles and attempts to believe a certain doctrine or dogma, but in realizing - not in believing, but in being and becoming.

I know of no delusional lunatic named Jesus in the Bible. The Jesus I know did miracles. preached the way of salvation, taught, died on a cross to forgive our sins (yours included) and rose from the dead-defeating death itself. And you call Him a lunatic?? I don't think so !! This is what God/Jesus does for you and you call Him a lunatic?? Wow! I guess if a person gives you a gift of $100.00 do you hit them in the face for giving you the gift? That's about the same logic you seem to have. You're the one complaining, so please list the bad things Jesus has done to you. PS Since you evidently don't believe in God/Jesus, what difference does it make to you? It shouldn't matter to you what a Christian does or doesn't believe.

Around me? Hardly. However, I can imagine the life of Baha'u'llah, whose Arabic name means glory of God, and who lived from 1817-1892, because there are quite a well-researched scholarly biographical books about his life.
Baha'u'llah's early life was luxurious because his father was a minister to the king. However, once he began his mission his life was miserable and destitute as he was a prisoner of the Ottoman Empire for 40 yrs.
Baha'u'llah wrote over a hundred volumes of spiritual and social teachings and laid out a blueprint for a new planetary civilization which are the basis of the Baha'i Faith, and which he claimed were revealed to him by God during his imprisonment. The originals of these writings are preserved in the international archives of the Baha'i Faith in Haifa, Israeal, where scholars can study them.
Having lived from 1817 to 1892, his life is more easily accessible than older revelators' and you can clearly get an idea of what it's like to have a religion written by one of the universal educators. It's engrossing and well worth anyone's time to read.

This is all about advertising. A very good salesman can sell you garbage with a lot of price. In the same sense, a good campaign manager can make a dumb politician win. So, this goes also with religion. If you have good persuaders and a powerful Roman empire backing you up, you definitely have a good place in religion.

Mentally ill people normally are the ones who claimed they saw God or talked to God and that is how they started writing about religions and creates a new religion like Christianity or Islam or even scientology or Mormonism or Buddhism or any other religions.

If you read the Bible you would see that Jesus did not become a god, but that He was God who became human to live among us (John, Chapter 1). The Bible and many other historical accounts of Jesus' life on earth also gives no indication that He was delusional.
Do your research, buddy, do your research.

Actually, it was all the delusional men who wrote the Bible over centuries that made him a God. AND the son of God. I seriously doubt Jesus said half the stuff they say he did.
