And people wonder what is wrong with teenagers today wanting to look and act like adults(having babies and such)! Why is it soo wrong for a child to believe in Santa or any other "fanstasy" character out there? Who is it hurting that they find out on their own that there is no such thing as these characters?? They will one day find out that these things are not real, but in the meantime..what's wrong with believing? Did your parents tell you when you were 10 and under that there was no such thing and any of the "fanstasy" characters?? And if you believe longer than that, who is it really hurting??? Why is it wrong for kids to keep their innocents? People need to make up their minds! Can you answer this? I for one would like for my daughter to believe as long as she can. If she finds out one day..okay..she finds out. Nothing wrong with that.(And she will find out one day). What is wrong with a child being innocent and naive about the harsh reality of life for just a little while?

Does it seem like there are more people getting pregnant with girls than with boys?... I just keep seeing a lot of women on here going "IT'S A GIRL", and I'm really happy for them, but I don't see as many "IT'S A BOY"'s.....?

Last night I had friends and their children round. Two of the girls I see regularly and we all went on holiday this year as families. The other girl I have know since school but I haven't been in much contact for the past few years - odd night out, phone call but not much else. The old schoolfriend has just split up with her husband and was quite drink. She really upset one of my other friends by making constant side remarks. The friend left and took her children. The girl who had upset her was not even aware. My dilema is we were going bowling with kids tomorrow with a different friend altogether. The friend who has been upset says she will not go if the other girl is there as she couldn't be civil. I have had to lie to the old school friend that the lane has been double booked and we are no longer going, although we are. Feel terrible - have I done the right thing? By the way, the school friend has always been stroppy so not result of the split up.

A pushback tug is a small truck- still it can push/pull an aircraft which is much heavier than the small truck. the aircraft naturally requires a large force even for ground movement (just for its weight), while flying the high powered jet engines are used. How such a force is generated by a tug without using high power engines like those in the aircraft ? Please explain the technical aspects in brief. Address of a suitable website may please be given if available.

I am taking the keys from my mom and getting her a chauffer! So, I want to sell my mom's car (well actually a minivan) but it has some dings on the bumper and other minor body issues. The prevailing logic for selling a house is to fix its problems before you sell because buyers overestimate how much the problem is worth. Does the same bode true with the van? In other words would it be easier to sell the van if I invested 1000 into fixing it then selling it for 1000 more or knocking 1000 off the price so the buyer can decide if he/she wants to fix it or use it as/is?

I know the NHL's popularity is way down right now, and I have not been as into hockey as I used to be, but I am starting to think it is the best sport to see live. I went to Bruins vs. Blues on Saturday and it was such a great time. I don't know of any other sport where you can sit right up close near the action while drinking whiskey. You get to see guys get slammed into boards, you get to see fights, ridiculous saves, crazy goals. Plus at one point Chara nailed a guy into the boards right in front of us and the guy in the front rows beer splashed all over him, which I found hilarious. It was ugly christmas sweater night so many of the fans in attendance were wearing terrible sweaters. They even gave a prize to the guy with the ugliest one. How does it get better than that? And after first period you get to see the tiny kids play, which is hilarious, especially when you are drunk.

Does anyone else think NHL hockey is mostly being overlooked right now?

This is my situation, I met a wonderful girl through my friend and we talked for a bit now. Friday night I took her out on a date and all went ok. I'm really starting to fall for her but the problem here is that she thinks I do not like her after that date on Friday night. She says I don't talk to her the same, and she says she gets the vibe that I do not like her. I really like this girl and I do not know what I'm doing wrong but I want this out of her mind. I told her I like her but she is not believing it. Wed. we are sapose to hang out in the morning. What things or what should I do to let her know that I like her and I'm real about it?

I am almost 30 years old, single, straight, work full time, go to graduate school and I live at home with my parents and other adult siblings. I have absolutley no interest in moving out and getting an apartment or house unless I have to. I don't have to pay any rent or expenses except for some incidentals like gas and entertainment. Sometimes I don't even have to pay for entertainment as our parents treat us to vacations once in a while, etc. The way I see it is that it's the least they could do for us after all the years of joy we have given them in raising us! LOL, they get a kick out of that when I say that. Anyway, I digress, we all know how to cook, clean and pay bills, we just don't have to as of this moment. Our parents say, "You will have the rest of your life to do that, no need to do that now. Focus on your education!" Our parents are not dirtbags like some parents are; they don't try to "give us hints" or marry us off. In fact they think it's wise that I am single.

That's what someone here on Y!A told me. I get them ALL the time. & also I heard that it might be the deodorant that's causing it. I have one right now that hurts & won't pop. Maybe I shouldn't squeeze it, but it hurts. It feels like a breast cancer lump, but I know it's not. & yes, I've heard how you can get breast cancer lumps in your pits.

You own your own home, and say you were in a relationship with a man that also owns his own home. You home is the newer of the two, but smaller. He does not wish to 'get rid' of his 'big' house to move in with you. You do not wish to leave your house. You do his laundry and he takes most of his showers at your house. Does not pay you for the water, but does take your garbage to his house. You really do care for this man, but on the other hand, you know that things are not going to change. Would you want out, or would you stay in this type of relationship?!
