i got a call from dhs this morning say an investigateing is in process, a staff had turned another staff in for shakeing my 14 year old son and slapping him hard on the hand,i asked my son of this & he said it did happen,what should i do i want to bring him home cause i'd feel safer and put a lawsuit against the facility that hes in,cause no one from there informed on what was going on until i called and asked the only way i found out is has dhs child protective called me this morning.

It's just wrong!!!! As are all sexual assaults. But this one is particularly weird.

My ex girlfriend and i have spoken to day and after 5 weeks apart we are talking about getting back together maybe, In the 5 weeks she has made some new friends but they are all guys and i feel that one of them fancies her! She told me she doesn't know how any of them feel about her and that she doesn't like any of them anymore than as a friend. If we end up back together i know she is gana want to go out drinking and spending time at their flat with them, but i feel she doesn't want to include me in this. How should i deal with this sort of situation? i trust her but i don't know if i trus the guys as i don't know them!
Telling her she can't see them is not an option as she also works with them.

My former boss, Michael R H***es recently interviewed 3 of us in my current department for a sales position. I dressed to the nines for both the 1st and 2nd interview, and was very confident and concise (avoided ums, uhs) and gave a really good interview. He made almost no eye contact and made derogatory comments to me in both the interview and feedback session. I had said that I needed work on a specific area and he said it back as if I didn't know anything about sales or my current role. I am far from perfect, but he was also demeaning of me on my year end review, and I had to fight like hell to get my current position; in fact every person I talked to on the team of 30 or so people said I had shown that I deserve the job. I no longer work for him, but my question really is, how to deal with such a slimy person? He is making his hiring decisions on favorites rather than qualifications, and has a blatant history of doing so.

it started very early thursday morning (around 230 am) with vomitting and diarrhea i was throwing up all day and ended up going to the er for dehydration late thursday night, today im still not feeling good, my head is killing me and i still feel naseus so i called into work, i am scheduled to work tomorrow early in the morning and i still dont know if i should go in, i still havent been able to eat anything really good (i had a little bit of mashed potatoes and about 3-4 small bites of steak) and that was NOT a good idea... do you think i should take one more day to rest?

As a trucker in Essex stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.
The trucker lowers the window, and she says Hi, my name is Sharon and you are losing some of your load.
The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street. When the truck stops for another red light, the girl again catches up she jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the door.

I don't think its slum lord - I think those are crappy landlords who don't maintain their properties. But what is the deal with landlords who rent to anyone/don't evict when tenants are a nuisance. Why should tenants who pay on time suffer because there is one or two tenants who can't live like normal human beings. And it happens everywhere - inner city to affluent suburbs. So why do landlords of apartment, condo, and townhouse communities rent to people who are constantly disturbing their neighbors? Police get called over and over and still the landlords refuse to take action. They have better things to do then babysit rental units for landlords. I know that many landlords (especially with multiple properties) make a ton of cash so are they just greedy? I'm all for helping those less fortunate who need a place to stay, but not at the expense of hardworking people.

Software Developer neglects to email important information (conference call info) to client in a timely fashion (the client never received it).

His excuse: His email messaged must have collided with somebody else's email message, preventing it from reaching the client.

I'm not sure which option is right for me. I can either major in geology with an emphasis in geophysics or I can major in applied physics with an emphasis in geophysics. I hope to attend graduate school, but I'm not sure whether I'll do that right after I complete my undergraduate degree.

Can anyone offer any words of wisdom? I'm leaning more toward geology at this point (because the field work and research opportunities sound a lot more exciting), but an applied physics degree seems more practical. I'm just not sure which degree would do a better job preparing me for future work, or whether that even matters.

I'd like a degree that'll open more doors than it closes.
