i got a call from dhs this morning say an investigateing is in process, a staff had turned another staff in for shakeing my 14 year old son and slapping him hard on the hand,i asked my son of this & he said it did happen,what should i do i want to bring him home cause i'd feel safer and put a lawsuit against the facility that hes in,cause no one from there informed on what was going on until i called and asked the only way i found out is has dhs child protective called me this morning.

Well unless you gave them custody of the child (in court) you can pull him out of a residential facility anytime you want to. However let's be realistic here- he is in a facility because...?? If it was because you couldn't handle him at home then you most likely can't do that now either so you need to find another residential facility. If it was to provide better education and treatment - can you provide that at home? Do you have a doctor who will assist you in the care of this child? Will you need help in the home if you bring him home?

I don't have any answers - only you can answer these questions but I hope I have helped you to pinpoint some questions that will need answers.
