im getting a dell laptop and i wanna get an anti virus software just for about 15 months..i'll get a full one then, when i can afford it...

so the 2 options for 15 months are McAfee and Norton...BOTH $79...i've only had Norton, but my dad said he had heard McAfee MIGHT even be better...

which would you reccomend? again, theyre the same price for the same amount of time...soo...yeah. merci :)

I have been taking pictures for a while now. As I begin to get serious with the art, I have to get serious with the software as well. Last night I did my first photoshoot consisting of entirely RAW photos. However, I find that RAW is a major pain to work with. I cant see thumbnails, the files are huge, and I'm not sure whether to use the RAW editing window that opens up when I open a RAW (.ORF) in photoshop cs3 or just using the normal editing workspace. So my question to you is: Is RAW really worth the extra hassle and memory? After all, I don't really see any noticeable differences between my RAW's and my JPEG's...

I am a full time student, I'm not a big spender, therefore, most of my money is just sitting in my checking account. I currently use a cell phone that my parents got for me. Now, what I want to know is, can I buy a new cell phone and open my own line of service under my name? Won't they have to do a credit check? I do not have any credit. How is this going to work?

that maybe, just maybe...we'd all treat each other better because we'd realize that it's really just us here...and we're all we have?

I've seen it happen time and time again during disasters and tragedies...humans are at their best when it seems like "God has left the building". It's the only time I see us put down our defenses and predjudices and really offer ourselves to the next guy. It's the only time I see us act like we're all in this together, and it's sad that it has to LITERALLY be true for this to happen.

I had steak for my dinner last night.....I fried it with some onions and then smothered them in peppercorn sauce and it was fab. Got another bit of steak and can't decide what to do with it.... Thinking either the same again or cut it into strips and fry with onion and yellow pepper and some marinade and then add noodles. What do people think? Or any other ideas. Needs to be reasonably simple and using things that I already have in my kitchen. Oh and nothing with mushrooms!!

me and my boyfriend have been dating for a little over a year. i told him i loved him after 7 months, and he didn't say it back. i got upset but didn't pressure him about it. i figured he'd tell me how he'd feel when he felt ready to. well just last night, i finally asked him why he couldn't say he loved me, that we've been dating for a year, and i should've known the answer to this question a long time ago. he said he wasn't going to say he loves me, because he doesn't know if he does. now i don't know what to do, i still love him and want to be with him, but at the same time, i don't want to be wasting my time with someone who doesn't feel the same way about me. so i guess my question is, what do you think i should do, because i really don't know.

I asked how, if matter is neither created nor destroyed, then where did the point the universe expanded from originate, and I got this response:

"*blinks* Honey, how could you go to school and not understand that the law is "ENERGY can be neither created nor destroyed". MATTER is created and destroyed all the time."

Does that make sense at all? As far as I could recall, there was a Law of Conservation of Matter that says that matter is only transformed; never created nor destroyed.

She later sends me this after I gave her an e-mail:

"I never said that matter can't be destroyed idiot. YOU DID. ENERGY cannot be destroyed. Matter turns into energy when IT is destroyed. Because thats what happens to matter, hon. It degrades and is turned into energy and used to fuel OTHER LIFE.

The idiotic thing you just came up with is simply the same as with energy. Since matter is MADE UP OF energy, think about it."

Am I missing something?
