What problems are you having? Maybe you can fix your problems individually instead of wiping out the hard drive with a new Windows installation. If you have Windows disc but have no cd-rom, then obviously you need to buy a new cd-rom to install the software from the cd. If your cd-rom drive not working is one of your problems, then a bios work-around may help but is not suggested unless you're comfortable doing it. good luck...

there might be a re-install partition on your computer instead of you having been given a cd.

details how to start it vary by computer - is there a reset message that flashes when you power up or reboot?
