What are the pros and cons to this machine? It is so new on the market I'm having a tough time finding out if this is a good machine compared to the Janome DC3050 model. Which would be the better machine to get? What are the pros and cons of the brother vs janome?

It depends on how often you sew. If you're sewing every day, the motor on a Janome will probably last longer. If one of them has a pop-off sole plate instead of screws, that's the one I would get. You need to remove the sole plate to clean out lint every time you change a bobbin, and it is a PAIN if you have to undo tiny screws every time.

I really dont know much about the sewing machines. But we have a sewing store and Hobby Lobbys if you were to have one there then you could ask them witch is better. They can probably help you out better. Sorry i could'nt be more helpful.
