I made Tetris in Java, and I'm trying to find a good tutorial in how to implement basic networking. I want to be be able to run my program off two different computers and play a competitive game on the network or over the internet. I want to also add a feature to chat back and forth by text.

Do you know any good, straight forward tutorials that show how to do this?

i am a 18 year old christian not yet baptized.
i do pay my percentages more than average on a timely basis.
so be it if other religions disagree yet im trying to be Mr. goody twoshose
i go to a mormon church, and i lsten to K-love(radio) like an addiction.
and last about myslef i read the bible once in a while.

our book is closely tied to what the other folks have to say about the end of days and the last days (yikes!)

ok, so me and my friend tend to have friendly debates about politics on IM. for the first time in a few weeks, we got INFURIATED with each other aobut global warming. he thinks its an unimortant issue thats just a scam, and of course i strongly disagree. somehow, the conversation got to how oil effects animals after a spill. he was saying "birds are jsut birds" and now that i think about it, i didnt have any good info to back myself about why global warming was important or why birds matter to the environment. Any insight on this?

It seems like there seems to be a popular perception that if you are not a Christian you must be an Atheist. This misconception has even extended to this board where questions are often addressed to "non-believers" by Christians where in the details it is obvious they are speaking about Atheists and denying that other beliefs exist; or to "Theists" by Atheists when in the details they are speaking about Christianity.

There are many of us here who are neither Christian nor Atheist, but are Jewish, Muslim, or part of the Pagan family of religions (of which Wicca is only one)

I think they would enjoy some Lancashire Hot Pot or Sheppherd's Pie made with peas and carrots and potatoes and meat! And they might like some fresh, hot bread and butter. Apple pie for desert! It's cold outside but this should warm everybody right up!

So far there seems to be an absolutely free and convenient way to get hold of any weapon by anyone, sane or insane to create havoc in public. The media reports freely, copy-cats desiring for action and fame, are ever-ready to re-enact the incidents or even to set some kind of record-breaking. Our attitude and culture need some waking up, really so as to prevent any more loss of innocent lives.
Concerned opinions and comments most appreciated.

OK - SO - just wanting to do a poll to see where everyone's babies sleep. Do you co-sleep, same room their bed, their bed in their room? I'm 16 and I live in Ontario, Canada and my goal is to eventually move to the US and eventually become an American citizen. I have relatives in NC, I've been there to visit a lot, and I've traveled with my parents all over the eastern US and I really like it. I'm hoping to eventually go to university in the US, and then get a job and become a permanent resident. I've never figured out why I am so attracted to wanting to live there, but I just am, and I even have a small American flag in my room. My biggest interests are American history and politics.

There are two problems with that. The first one is that I'm living in an environment where most people are anti American. I overhear nasty comments about Americans and the US in general, almost every day from kids at school and even adults in stores, malls, etc. Everyone in my classes thinks that it's stupid that I want to move to that "dump to the south". It makes me so mad but I just try to ignore it.
