De-subsidize farms, especially for corn. It is one of the most wasteful and inefficient crops

Remove obvious corporate tax loopholes.

Get rid of our inefficient social programs which us (the new generation) will never see the benefits of. This include Social Security, Medicare. And that super inefficient Senior Drug problem too. Make welfare a TON more selective as well.

Get rid of the multi billion dollar Border Fence that is utterly useless and will add maybe 5-10 minutes top to a border rush

Stop giving war contracts to unethical private firms. These companies have been found to give our troops defective equipment, let them drink contaminated water, overbill our government on purpose, and often have conflicts of interest, are often incompetent, and have too much political influence with revolving door public/private employees and political contributions

Enact some real environmental laws. I'm not talking about global warming, it is hijacked by politics. I'm talking just cleaner air, water, etc

Build nuclear plants. They're cleaner and more efficient than anything else we have. Stupid ignorant hippies have been fighting one of the greatest energy sources we have

Improve our education system, starting with the teachers. Pay them more and up the standards for them.

Enact a basic health care system for children.

Get rid of our 10,000 or so ineffective "feel good" gun laws. They do NOTHING. Put a few ones that will help the ATF track guns used in crimes, like better tracking and background checks.

Expand the SEC. There's too much shady stuff going on at financial firms.

There's more but you probably stopped reading already

I would try to create major change in the way that our government is ran. I think that democracy, as we have it set up, no longer works because of lobbying, corruption, and the fact that the original bill of rights needs to be scrapped.

As a citizen, I do not have the freedom of speech anymore. If I say something that offends another person I can get sued over it whether it is my intention to offend or not.

The right to bear arms has turned us from a peaceful, powerful nation, to a weak and violent society where people get shot in malls, schools, and other once quiet places.

Our educational system is in shambles and kids coming out of high school can't even tell you the names of all 50 states let alone their capitals (which was a requirement when I graduated 10 years ago.) In fact they can't even tell which states are what when looking at a blank map.

There is no healthcare system which doesn't make any sense considering that most European nations and countries like Canada have socialized medicine that ensures that all of it's citizens are taken care of.

I would initiate legislature to drastically change the infrastructure, that would allow us to change from a nation that relies on devastatingly destructive fossil fuels to a nation that is self reliant on energies like hydrogen powered cars.

The sad thing is that I have all of these ideas and I can't run for president for another 8 years because of my age.

Unite. Unite. Unite everybody.

First and foremost...I would want everyone participating in an open forum, getting out all their inside hatreds and discussing it with everyone else.

We are going to be a one world community and economy, so we need to get to understand everyone better.

And guess what will happen...

Many people will show up and give their views, but those who won't are the real enemies of us all.

They live in high glass towers, are very wealthy and nobody knows who they are or where/how they live.

These are the enemies, and they will continue preying upon the rest of us.

I wish the next president all the luck in the world, because he or she will need it.

If sincere and wanting to improve the lives of the many who beg for better jobs or better housing, etc...they will need to have a meeting of the minds.

So far, Washington has been closed off to the the majority of people.

Like the late Pope John Paul 11 said..."Throw open all the doors and windows, and let everyone inside".

Stop sending "Aide" to Israel and start using that money to help home town people..
Once every child is in school, and has access to health care, and all the elderly people have adequate health care and prescription coverage..
and family values like marriage is brought back to the forefront, a cap put on prescription medicines.... shut down the Iraq invasion and bring home the soldiers..
then Id think of means to lower the national debt to at least get it close to breaking even... We need to take care of our own before giving out to others...

Deport all illegals, build the border wall, build massive prisons in the desert and make every criminal serve his/her entire sentence, push for a mandatory life (and I do mean LIFE) sentence for child molesters, drill for oil in Anwar and the east coast, provide huge incentives for domestic energy companies to create practical, cheap hydrogen, I would turn the entire country of Iran into glass slag the moment they raised a finger against this country or any of our allies, I would pay to have a duplicate UN building erected in Iceland then dynamite the existing building in NY into rubble, I would defoliate the entire country of Columbia and simply give it's citizens food and supplies -- this would cripple the cocaine market, I would make sure -- even if it meant spending federal money to hire thousands and thousands of police -- that it would be safe to walk any street in this country any time of day or night.
Then I would be assassinated.

Allocate more fund to help the nation, abolish poverty.

Military funding should focus more on national security. Overseas force are only maintained for self defense purpose. I'm not gonna go into prolong wars.

i'd see who was doing a good job in the previous cabinet, actually let them stay. Then I'd see who's only there because they're someone's cousin and fire them (you know, nicely with letters saying we had to make cutbacks - that way they could find work later), Then try to do my best to fill the remaining positions with people who are TRULY qualified.

I'd ask big corporations to help Iraq set up their own EFFECTIVE military and police, and see to it myself that we can pull out of there without leaving the place to be taken over by drug lords (and of course actually pull out all our remaining troops).
