Has anyone used hand splints for CTS or sore hand, wrist? If you have is it good and does it help to relieve pain? I am still hesitant about this. Can someone assist? Thanks Sascha

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I went to the PT, who gave me wrist splints, have to wear them ONLY at night while asleep in bed, not during the day. Do they work, well YES, just by resting the hands in the correct position at night, the pain has gone by morning. However, you need to see a PT, as you need the correct splints at the correct angle, otherwise you might do more damage. Good Luck

Hi there

I don't know about hand splints but I would think they would help because they would support the hand a little and keep it from moving about.

You may also want to change your diet a bit to help alleviate the pain. A few articles I've read on the internet indicate that carpal tunnel syndrome may be an indication of a lack of vitamins such as B6. If you increase your intake of pineapple and take some fish oil pills to give you more omega 3 fatty acids, you may find the pain subsiding. You can also try things such as St John's Wort and the tumeric spice as creams to rub over the injured area.

You can find more diet and herb information on this topic in some of the articles I've listed below.

Hope it helps! Best of luck :)

you may possibly have carpal tunnel sometimes when people have carpal tunnel they will get a shooting pain that goes up the arm or things like that. kind of like a "shock" feeling. And even sometimes if you flex your wrist you might see a bump and that is carpal tunnel.
