How could I be a better counselor to people of other cultures?

There are many differences between cultures, and I was wondering what I could do to make myself more effective to those of different cultures than mine.
Any ideas??

The first thing you do is to study different cultures of the world. Once you studied them, then you can understand them because you already know them a lot better and maybe one day you can be a better counselor to people of other cultures!
