I swore off too, I don't like being lied to by snake oil salesmen. However since the writers strike I have been watching Kieth Oberman on MSNBC as an emergency replacement for John Stewart.

I do have one TV news operation which covers stories in depth. It airs at 9 PM on one of our cable channels, even though one of the organizations behind it is a local broadcast operation.
I've given up completely on cable TV news of any national broadcaster. English language short wave radio had been my chief source of news and information for over forty years. Now many of those outlets do webcasts and pod casts, so I find myself listening to them via the computer.

I do, but some channels like BBC cause me to cringe as they're so bias in their views, they seem to consider us to all be mindless idiots that agree with their slant on stories.

I watch it every now and then. I like to keep up to date on the latest propoganda spin techniques.

for when i do it is only the local news and normally the weather and sports is what i look for
