Please any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
1) 70,000 money market
2) 170,000 S&P 500 index fund
3) 30,000 international stock market

My plan is to have a emergency reserve of 70,000 in money market. If a hot investment comes up, I could always take some money out of money market and invest as I choose.

Second is too have a majority of my money 170,000 in a moderate risk S&P 500 index fund for at least 5 years. Im thinking of just leaving this money in there and forgetting about it. Good idea??

Third is to put about 30,000 in a high risk stock such as international. But I don't know where to invest. Did research but still unsure. China has been doing really well but some say they'll crash others say they'll keep rising. So confusing. Since stock market tends to do better long term, I plan to leave it for at least 7 years.

Should I put some money in small cap too??

ok i like classic rock and some alternative rock. mostly stuff like aerosmith, acdc, kid rock, most hair bands. i got every thing i need from bands that i list by name. im more or less lookin for the one hit wonder songs im missing in my collection. i got everything from "sweatty teddy" nugent, tom petty, santana and stuff like that. i need the other popular songs im forgetting about. please no pop songs or r and b or country. just rock.and also no screamo or death medal. thanx

I have a DSL connection. I have my modem connected via USB. I just got a Belkin N wireless router . I connected my computer networkingcable to the wired computer portion of the wireless router. I then connected the other networking cable to the router and modem via the modem port. then plugged everything in. I left the modem USB cord connected but was unable to connect to the interent. I tired unplugging the cord and the same thing happened. Is the problem due to my modem being connected via USB. I tried connecting my modem via ethernet but am unable to get an internet connection that way. Do I have to set up my modem for ethernet before I can get this wireless router to work? I have a westall modem.

I'd like to find a good free CD burning program which is easy to use. Something where I can move songs around easily on the list etc, easier than Media Player. Hopefully something which doesn't expire as a trial.

If you could provide a link that would be very helpful.

I'm going to the army in a few months and I'm enlisted for 2 years as field artillery. Then I want to re-enlist as infantry with Ranger school. I want to be a recruiter for a few years after I serve for a while in combat..does anyone know how to become a recruiter? I heard the army picks you. I think I could do a way better job than my recruiters and not screw enlisted people over.

My cousin, who feels more like a sister, is having a baby around the begininng of March. We found out today it's a girl, and I get to name her.

It isn't absolute yet, but at the moment I was thinking of Mallory Celeste.

Ok so I want to talk to this girl at school, because she always looks at me when she walks through the hallways....... I dont know if shes sending me mixed signals or what but since the first time I saw her i was hooked on to her....

the problem is i don't see her enough at school, and when i do see her at school shes always with her guy friends.. I want to find the right oppurtunity to talk to her so it won't be awkward..
hopefully when she is a lone, and i'll talk to her subtle and natural...

I don't know if this girl is in to me or not, because she seems to stare at me all the time, maybe she likes me maybe she doesn't? But I'm hooked !! I need help yahoo !

I am planning on renting out my home, and I believe my mortgage agreement states that I have to live in my home for the first year of the loan, which we have done. My question is, what happens if someone was to rent out their home and this was against the contract? What action can the mortgage company take against you?

I have a room mate that I seriously need to get rid of. He pays the rent on time and that's a plus but he's always in the bathroom, doesn't even leave the house (unless it's to go to the gym), and then he expects me to share the chores with him. Now I understand that I should do my part seeing as I share the household but the way he puts it makes it seem like I should be cleaning up after him. I work close to 12 hours a day so I don't really have time to do an entire run through the house and clean every single edge and corner of it every weekend. But I do make sure to clean u[ after myself. All I ask is that he do the same. But because of his lack of understanding that I work and he doesn't I wanna find the legal way to evict him. I should mention that he picked a fight with my boyfriend and me almost resulting in an all out brawl. So tell me, 2 weeks or 30 days notice to evict?

It is a New Home Model 609. Says CHAIN STITCH on upper left. Probably from the 70's. It has 29 stitch patterns + buttonhole stitch settings. It is a nice machine. Obviously it must lockstitch, I don't know. I'm confused. I read about chain stitches and lockstitches. Still confused.

When I see a Bi-lingual signs at stores...what should we make of it?

Corporate America LOVES it! Because when Jose/Maria cannot speak english, then their options are severly limited, they get dead-end jobs paying slave labor, and no benefits...but wait, it gets better!

Wal-Mart pays it's employees so low in CA, they include Public Assitance papers(welfare, food stamps) because the Corporation refuses to pay a decent wage, and sends the profits to some offshore account, such as the 20,000,000,000 (20 billion) dollars the Waltons of Wal-Mart have done.

So did they give the savings to you? Of course not! Made in China disposable, junk products are our savings.

But I digress. Let's keep em' down, while keeping the Bi-lingual signs UP!

i am have a welcome home/christmas party on the 21st. The welcome home part is for me and my friends who are coming home from college. anyways i dont have any money. i mean i have some but not enough to buy a whole bunch of stuff. there are going to be like 10 or us. i have asked them all to try and bring something like a pack of soda or a bag of chips. just something small. i am gunna get a few things but i cant feed 10 people. so what should i do? in past parties i have asked people to bring food and some have and some havent. what do i do to have a great party but still be able to have some money left over?

I first felt my baby at 17 weeks. It was every 2 to 3 days. Then it was everyday for about 5 days. In the last couple of days I've felt her only once or twice. Today I haven't felt her at all. Is this normal for 20 weeks 4 days pregnant? When do you really start to feel lots of movements and kicks everyday and how often would you feel it?
