I first felt my baby at 17 weeks. It was every 2 to 3 days. Then it was everyday for about 5 days. In the last couple of days I've felt her only once or twice. Today I haven't felt her at all. Is this normal for 20 weeks 4 days pregnant? When do you really start to feel lots of movements and kicks everyday and how often would you feel it?

at that early stage he still isn't quite strong and big enough to feel him moving every second so don't be overly worried just yet.
However if you have felt no movement whatsoever for 24hours then I would consult your doctor.
Before doing that though, try these...

Have you been very active today and therefore the movement of your body lulls baby to sleep and you don't notice any movement much???

Try laying back comfy on the couch or bed. Drink a large glass of something icy cold and fizzy. Wait 1/2-1 hour and if you haven't felt any movement try again. If still nothing after and hour contact your doctor.
Usually when you are very still and laying down that is when the baby will be most active. When you are active the baby will be mostly sleepy.

Don't stress too much yet. Just try the above things and I'm sure she'll be fluttering around in there! Usually by 24-25 weeks you will feel them constantly and it will be big thumping punches and kicks!

best of luck

I m seeing a regularity of baby movement later in pregnancy. Like beginning around 4 months. This is my 4th pregnancy and my only son. I felt him flutter for the first time at 4 weeks. I felt him move for the first time at 6 weeks. He is usually very active and very strong but for the past few days he hasn t moved much at all and when I lay down at night he just "slides" to which ever side I lay on and then rolls to the bottom. I ve never experienced anything like this before and has me weirded out as well.

That is normal, don't worry.
Babies have times when they are active and times of rest, even while in our stomachs.
I am 25 weeks pregnant and some days my baby moves ALL day long, other days not much at all.
They get lazy and want to relax, just like us.
Also, I have found, if I drink caffeine or eats something with a lot of sugar, that is when this child does stunts in my belly....LOL.

it is normal . . . at 20 weeks it is still a peanut so it moves, but you may not feel it.

my baby girl is so stuffed in there now - i wish for quiet times. she rolls her legs and arms and i think she is coming out my butt :-) LOL.

the movements are exciting - so i understand wanting them more. drink some OJ (or something cold w/ sugar - if you can) and lay down - you will feel it.

some days my little man wont stop moving and then others he wont move at all. i think your baby is fine, if she doesnt move within the next 2 days at all , and i mean no movement then go straight to your doctors ok. i worried because i couldnt feel my little man and he does this to me all the time. i can understand why you are worried. good luck

Yeah, this happens to me. I am around 23 weeks. It kind of freaks me out sometimes, but then the next day she's all hyper and moving around like crazy!

at this point in the pregnancy you will feel your child move but not all his/her movements will be outwardly noticable. you wont realy feel them. give it about 4 more weeks and you should notice a difference in the movements and howoften they occur.

Compared to the size of your uterus, the baby is relatively small still. I think it's normal to feel it sometimes more than others still. Wait until he/she is kicking you in the lungs...you'll wish you were back at this day :)
