Hey guys, have u noticed that "Germany" has a completely different spell in other foreign languages?

Portuguese: Alemanha
Italian: Germania
French: Allemagne
English: Germany
German: Deutschland

Why is that? they're all European languages from countries that have known german people very well, there's no reason to do this no-sense translation lol

i want a boyfriend but i have a problem


ahh i just dont understand
no guys like me . and i have no friends but i've flirted with guys who have liked me but in the long run we never went out and i am really shy. its not that inm fat or short because im 5 ' 5" and weigh 110 pounds but i just dont onder stand. so anyhow, i had stopped worrying about getting a boyfriend until recently when i've noticed a lot of people at school walking wround holding hands, hugging, etc...and i suddenly wanted a boyfriend really bad. i've never had one before! i want to know what it's like to go out on dates, you know, stuff like that.my friends say i'm a "good-girl" or i appear to be one even though i'm not some goody-two-shoes. do boys not like "good girl" girlfriends? what's up with me? what could i do?btw, i'm up for changing who i am to get a boyfriend.]
am i happy or depressed?
i am a 16 year old girl . a jounor in high school. and i have never had a boyfriend . also i can be akward ,weird ,ugly , shy ,ect. so i would not know how to act when i finally get a boyfriend if that ever happends. and i belive thet everyone hates me..

is it okay not to pay the application fee anymore? I sent my applications already but can't go to anyone of them anymore. Since i haven't sent the payment, is it ok if I just don't pay? Will they sue/blacklist me for doing such a thing?

I just picture 2 kids arguing over where babies come from:

"it's the stork, it brings the baby to the new mommy and daddy... my mommy told me so..."

"nut uh, Babies come from a cabbage patch, I have proof... I seen them on TV..."


Both strike me as "nice stories" to explain something which an inillectually inferior being (such as a child) that would appease their mind enough to stop worrying about it.


Does anyone else picture this when they hear creationist arguments? or just me?

everytime me and my fiance get into a fight...he never talks things over with me he just packs his bags and leaves for the night doesnt call or anything not even the next day then when he comes back over to my house he thinks everythings going to be okay again....im just tired of it...i dont know what hes been out doing and its scaring me to know hes like this...would you keep putting up with it or just say goodbye

My 6-month old Weimeraner threw up a large rock this morning. And since then he's continued to throw up for about an hour or two. He pooped about 3 large normal poops. He ate some food, threw it all up, drank some water, threw that up, then he was throwing up yellow foamy bile. For the last 1/2 hour he's been laying quietly on his bed but is shaking on occassion. I made some white rice and chicken and he won't touch it. He's drank some small amounts of water. He just looks very sad right now. Any recommendations?

I find it fascinating that some people in a society that values freedom actually work to usher in or support politicians that want things that are normally associated with fascism, such warmongering, enhanced exectutive powers and reduced legilstative or judicial powers, approval of torture, increased criticism of press that disagrees with government, the smearing of all sorts of dissenters as traitors, increased monitoring of citizens without cause, and last but not least...the convenient labeling of anyone and everyone who disagrees with your agenda on any one of a myriad of issues as being part of one group. Clearly any normal freedom loving person can see the dangers that all these policies bring, so my question is how does an honnest freedom loving pro democracy person go down the path where they agree with all this stuff?

The 1991 Vannila Ice movie was on the other night on HBO. Did you ever see it? He had on Joey Buttafuco pants and a big leather jacket and I think he was supposed to be cool. I shut it off as quickly as possible but it was too late.
