Lets look at two separate fathers saying the same thing. Both are devoted fathers, great husbands, help around the house, good cooks, awesome entertainers, church goers, good looking, best dressed, professionals, etc. Now look for the little signs....extremes are the clue: Are any of the girls withdrawn or exaggerated social butterflies? Are any of the girls hermits or they are never home? Do any of the girls dress extremely conservative or skimpy and showy? Are any of the girls against sex or openly promiscuous? There are other signs you can look for especially if the girls are very young; like refusing to eat or to swallow, afraid of going to the bathroom, sex knowledge innapropiate with the age, afraid of men, wearing the same clothing day after day, etc. What i'm trying to say is that a "perfect father" may be a child molestor or may not. I think that when a father is quoted saying the above mentioned, it can carry a second meaning or it can come from the heart and that the difference would be in knowing the whole story. It is probably best to look for subtle signs in both the father and the daughters. If I were the father and my words were making anyone question my integrity, and geoperdizing my family; because of my "love" to girls I would be silenced.

I don't understand this let me get this straight. isn't you'ree husband already married to you? because he's you're husband and you're his wife. Why did you say his it's a her a girl of you're daughter. She loves him because it is her dad after all and it's a different type of love like fathers and daughters. Youre husband said he would marry you when he grows up? that's the bit I found weird and didn't understand so correct me if I'm wrong but. How can he treat you badly when he says that to you? He loves his daughter and you so what's the problem? Youre stressing out over nothing so chill alright? His daughter can have a different type love of father relationship and daughter. He treats you badly because Youre being stupid over having a problem with his daughter loving him. She can love him you know. Jeez you make out it seems like another woman involve. Weird of you. No daughters or sons have crushes on there mothers and fathers that just odd and sick. There related to them so it's not right and it's not true. I can't believe I'm reading this post of what john said so don't listen. How sick

People say all kinds of things to express what they feel. It's "wrong" only because it's inaccurately expressed. But what I think dear old dad is trying to say is.."I love my daughters more than the word love describes, they complete my life"
Of course, I could be wrong and Pops is just a dirty pedo. Either way, it's not politically correct in my opinion.

Depends on his definition of "In Love With"....
If he is just a loving parent who adores his children then I don't see anything wrong with him thinking he's in love with them b/c the definition wouldn't be the same as one who is "in love" intimately with someone..
If he shows ANY sign of innapproriate behaviors than confront him!!
Get his personal definition of "In Love" before you freak out on this guy...

if he means what its spelling out then i would call your local ywca for advice and keep a close watch on him for odd behavior but lets hope it isn't what i think it means..... good luck hun

"In love with" usually implies sexual desire, romance and physical intimacy.
