I'm looking to get a 80 gb 2.5 external hard drive. I'm used to Western Digital but this Seagate is about half the price. It's really hard to pass it up.

I have $16,000. I am going to use this money on debt but I don't know which avenue I'm going to take.

Option 1- Pay 16,000 on a 28,000 car loan w/ a montly payment of $513.00

or

Option 2-Pay off some credit card debt. If I do this, it'll leave me w/ a montly payment of 1100. I'm in the hole big time over here.

Either way, I am having trouble paying both..and I'm looking for the best way I can to try to have more money in my pocket each month. I have a good feeling in a month or so I won't be able to pay the credit debt at all.

Which is worse, a default on credit cards on your credit report or a repossession of a vehicle?

I am having a Christmas party and everyone is bringing 10 dollar grab bags. Any original ideas. No starbucks gift cards, as much as I love 'em, see tons every year. I am willing to spend a little more too. Food probably not such a good idea either. The crowd is mainly ER nurses and their spouses plus a few school-aged children. Thanks!!!

i just can't get over it
is it ocd?
i always or most of the time, have something on my mind that makes me guilty or lack confidence
a few years ago, i might have said f***ing jesus out loud or just part of it
i think just the thought of saying it out loud freaked me out and has been bothering me at some points constantly to the fact that i said that, which i could have just said the f word, but i don't remember, i tried to help myself by saying that i should live by my pride and if i have done something there would be a reason for it and if i don't make mistakes, i would lose the fact that im a human being and it is the timeline that's impossible to get across again
it's the time thing that will help me get past this where in exchange it'll bring me another crap of guilt like a relay
i got frustrated saying it in my mind, so i tried to make it worse by saying it out loud

in the West? We have equal legal rights, allowing us to make as much money, and run the show in the workplace. In some areas we're even "unofficially" favored more (sexual harrassment/domestic abuse). Try calling the cops on a boyfriend while crying on the phone as a woman or telling your boss some coworker made you feel "uncomfortable!" We have the option of being a career woman or a housewife (don't even tell me the option, according to social/personal values is the same for men) Yet, at the end of the day, most men, by tradition, hold the door open, pay for dates, allow us to take the only seat left, or pick up the car in the rain, for the simple fact that we are women.

Undeniably, social double standards continue to exist when it comes to our bodies, sexuality etc. and we need to change that BUT do you ever appreciate the great position we have today and the positivive side also?

Before you go out getting sloppy drunk and start phoning every friend, family, relative, or random person you can come across - there are a few rules you must know. Etiquette is very important, especially when drunk dialing.
1. Only drunk dial when you’re drunk. Everything else is false advertisement.
2. It’s okay to call someone 27 times in one night. If you don’t remember it, it didn’t happen.
3. If you’re going to drunk dial a family member, say something nice. Ex. “Mom I’m in McDonald’s and they’re playing our song. I love you.”
4. Dirty talk while drunk dialing is always preferred. Who doesn’t want to hear raspy, phone sex voice at 3 in the A.M. asking to get bent over?
5. Voicemails are always better. This way your friends can let their friends have fun at your expense for days, or even weeks to come.
6. Drunk texting is OK, but only if you’re prepared to read what you wrote the next day when you sober up.
7. It is definitely a good idea to call all of your exes and remind them that you were the best lover they ever had, and everything they know they learned from you. This way you can all sleep well at night.
8. You can also call this same ex and let them know, that you know, that they still love you. Then explain that I would still love me too!
9. If you are a frequent dialer, never get mad if someone dials you. Be happy they thought of you in this special time.
10. It’s always a good idea to sing on someone’s answering machine or voicemail. Especially a show tune.
11. Drunk dialing should be fun and light hearted, or dirty and sex crazed… Never angry.
12. Most likely you will never drunk dial your best friends. They’re usually the ones taking your phone away and reminding you that “you have a problem”.
13. If you deleted a number sober, it was probably for a good reason. Do not try to retrieve this number. Nothing good can come from it.
14. Always call someone you know. Finding random numbers in phone books is a bad thing which usually leads to angry dialing.
15. If your cell phone dies, remember everything happens for a reason. Never borrow a friend’s. It’s karma.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development wants to demolish about 4,500 public housing units at four of the city's largest complexes and replace them with mixed-income neighborhoods. The St. Thomas redevelopment has been a major source of distrust of housing plans in New Orleans. After it was torn down, a Wal-Mart superstore was built and most of the former residents wound up in other neighborhoods.
Candidate John Edwards says ""There is a housing crisis in New Orleans today — the result of government policies that have failed the people of the Gulf. Rents have doubled, families are being evicted from FEMA trailers and now the current administration is trying to make a bad situation worse."
When lots of housing was destroyed and people were left homeless-The Republican promised to "REBUILD" the city. Well, their rebuilding plans seem to be to kick people to the streets and make money for investors and big builders.

His employer dont do anything! Last month he complained about the brakes and they took it off the road for a day and they told him it had new brake discs and pads. Last week he spun the van 360 and dented it. Was lucky he didnt crash.
But recently hes noticed smoke and 2day something wasnt rite so he called his depot who called out aa and they said to him theres no way the brakes have been done and he was surprised he could stop as the pads had worn down, it was just metal, he had no brakes on his right side.
And 5 vans at the depot have flat batteries and have to be jump started every morning. Head office wont authorise new batteries.
There also was something hanging off underneith his van the aa said, that if it had come off on the motorway would have killed someone.
Something needs to be done about this company. Im worried about my friend and how dare the company be putting these vans on the road. Who can he contact to get this company looked at?

my brother in law has totally different values to me, and my husband wants to spend xmas day with his parents, my brother in law walked out on his 3 kids [by different partners] and doesn't do anything with them ,but on xmas day he will make a show of giving them hundreds of pounds of presents and make out he is the best parent in the world.I have been very ill all year and am still not well and am depressed , i just cant cope with the falseness my kids will have made all our presents as we havent much money, its making me dread xmas, any ideas[ my father in law is terminally ill and may be his last xmas , so we need to be there,]

This was brought up during a discussion at work, and nobody could answer it. The more I thought about it, the more it bugged me. Was this surname wiped off the face of the earth? If so why?
