When going in for surgery wouldn't you just need an anesthetic to remove the pain and a sedative to make you go to sleep, why would a paralytic be used? There seems to be no reason to cut off the control of the muscles.

I bought a new HDTV and want to watch DVD's. I don't want to buy a DVD player that you put one DVD in, then take it out and put in another one. I have a stereo that holds 50 CD's and you can just pick a number and play it. Is there such a thing as a DVD player that holds several DVD's and you can just pick which one you want to play? Why does America still refuse to ratify Kyoto?

As one of the richest nations in the world, I don't understand why they still refuse to fight climate change. Given that 137 countries have signed inclusive of India and China, the USA remains the only notable exception from the treaty.
America is a very rich nation and could quite easily afford to turn 'green'. Imagine the ramifications if America curbedtheir military spending and used that money to help turn America 'green'.

Only recently, Australia signed Kyoto, to my disappointment it hadnt happened any earlier. How do Americans feel about this?
Are you keen to turn 'green'?

So, this guy and I have been dating for 5 months now exclusively. we hang out about 4 days a week, text or call daily, buy each other birthday presents etc and spend the night sometimes. we have already discussed that we are not seeing other people. I don't know if I'm just retarded or what?? But I have yet to hear the word girlfriend.....and it bothers me. I have met his family and I know that he talks about me to them. ok well i like this guy that said the only reason that he doesn't like me is because he thinks that i am annoying. but he doesn't know me very well. and then he acts like he likes me.
WHAT DO I DO??? because i like him a lot.
then there is this other guy that his friend asked me if i still like him and i said i don't know why and then his friend said for his personal interset(the guy that i used to likes interest)

My BF can be so great - he is very funny, smart, sexy.. He says I love you, can say sweet things - but he can be very subtlely manipulative and abusive. He makes comments that make me feel insecure -- he says we will break up, he wants to have sex with other people, if he worked out more he would leave me, etc. -- these are always told as jokes, always with a smile. I don't find any humor in any of that -- it has left me feeling constantly insecure. I hate the feeling and my behavior has become suspicious too. He is friendly with all of his exes; they have dinner, etc. I have never met any of them -- I like to share my feelings and thoughts honestly -- when I express concern (in a gentle way), he says I am insecure. He came on very strong at first and is a beautiful guy but I can't tell if my insecurity stems from him or from me -- I have never felt like this (insecure) in any other relationship.....but this is my longest.
