My pachira plant is growing another leaf thing on the side.?

My pachira plant is growing another leaf thing on the side of my root thing. thers like 5. can i cut it off

you mean, at the bottom of the trunk by the soil? if so, cut it. the beauty of it is when you only have the foliage on top. where you can see clearly the braided portion
