O.k. Well, you didn't say which game system, so I'm going to name some PS3 exclusives that I'm getting in 2008 that will be awesome games:
Haze
Killzone2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Online
Gran Turismo 5
The Getaway 3
Heavy Rain
Motorstorm 2
Socom Confrontation, and several other games.
Oh yea, and I can't forget GTA 4. It's not a PS3 exclusive but it's a must buy for the 360 or PS3 in 2008 without a doubt.
