"Chocolate is the third most common cause of poisoning in dogs. Certain chemicals in chocolate, notably caffeine and theobromine, can cause erratic heartbeat and in large enough doses can kill your pup."

No, this is not ok. First off it acts on a dogs liver like alcohol acts on our livers, only quicker on a dog since their livers and bodies are smaller than ours. Second, it depends on how much a dog is given, the size of the dog, etc. I had a 50 pound dog that ate over a pound of it and she lived a LONG time after that (she died at 9 from a heart attack, though). I wouldn't give a dog chocolate, period. This one of mine just happened to figure out how to open up a drawer and get to it! If it had been a smaller dog, I am sure that it would have been dead almost right away. DO NOT feed a dog chocolate. It will kill them, in time or right away depending on its size and its system tolerance.

No it's very bad for a dog. They can't digest it correctly. It can actually kill them if they get too much of it. Please don't give your dog chocolate anymore. There are just some human food a dog shouldn't get to enjoy. :0

No. They can get worms which will eat away at their heart. =(

Once in a blue moon, a small piece won't do anything.

But still, I don't encourage it at all.
