i have halo, but whrn ever i try to make a server it doesnt work properly?

i have halo 1 trial version, but when ever i try to make a server of my own for my friends and i, they cant get on it. I even tried direct ip. Still no luck, I have an ip adress, i have a username,and i set up a server but still nothing.

This is a trial version. Perhaps it does not have the capabilities of the full version. Or you have a firewall up that is working.
