im nineteen [ill be twenty in a few months] and a junior in college. a couple of years ago i went out on new years but i had to be home before midnight so i could see the ball drop and "ring in the new year with the family". last year my parents told me i couldnt go out because we were having a party at my house [it was my parents, grandparents and some aunts and uncles] with the promise that i could go out this new years. i spent last new years in my room listening to music and watching law & order because i was so pissed.
now onto this year. before i even asked, my dad said that im staying home. when i reminded him of last year he responded "do you have it in writing?" understandably, im heated. they claim its a "family holiday", i think its just another day. im allowed to stay out late any other day so its not a curfew issue. how can i convince my parents to let me go out on new years?

I am a worship leader at our church, and this upcoming Sunday we are expecting an excellent turn out. I need some ideas or recommendations on songs to sing, and ways to let the worship flow so everybody can truly feel the anointing of Jesus Christ. I am fairly new to leading worship, and this is my first 'big' Sunday if you know what I mean. Please help me with any possible recommendations at all. It will be greatly appreciated. My opinion is no, I live in a depressed rural area where a great deal of the population is at or below the poverty line. The middle school that my daughter goes too had a fundraiser which if the children paid $5 they could wear their normal clothes for a day instead of the uniforms. This seemed very unfair because a great deal of the families barely have food in their counters and on top of that have to buy new uniforms each year. I believe there are better ways to fundraise and this practice singles out the children who cannot afford $5 for this benefit. Also the students were told that if they wore their regular clothes without paying they would be suspended. What do you think?

girls, if there's this guy who likes you and today you watched him and his classmates playing a basketball match in a between-class competitions (it's just a coincident that you were there though, there was no plan) - and you were like leaving for a while when the match finished. but you also watched other matches. your friends were playing cards but somehow you didn't join (most probably cos you can't play).

so if you watch him playing a basketball match, does it mean you like him? nearby you there were many other students watching. you do not make attempts to be with that guy though. you never watched him though.

I know that I'm wrong for talking to women on like, and my gf found out about, and i've done it a few times. I'm not saying im perfect, but I live alone and my gf lives 50 miles from me. I love her very much and will do anything for her. She told me that she started to talk to a man on-line, and has gone on a few coffee dates to talk, she doesn't like him as a mate but as a friend. As I said I never went out with anyone, and yes I could of, but I could never hide it from her. Right now she needs sometime to make up her mind, and that's cool. God may be a plug in most of your eyes, yet wheres your plug? I like how you dismiss all accounts of a God yet you have no plug?

1. Something can't come from nothing
2. Your thermodynamics theory is flawed because it still does not explain what came before the big bang or why it happened? Yes I know people, energy is forever existing...IN THIS universe, yet the universe began to exist, therefore, so did matter and energy. So lets throw that one out.
3. Infinite values do not exist in this reality, only in mathematics are they apparant, not in matter.
4. And God is infinite I know I know people, so your typical rebuttal sounds like, well if there is no infinite values then how does God exist. Again, God is not of this or created in this universe therefore the laws that it abides by dont apply since God is both within and without the bounds of space and time.

All I want is an answer, I gave mine, God. I want yours thats all. If there is no God then how do you exist?

I was in this situation the other day and was just curious as to how other's would answer it.

You are at a function for moms to get to know each other or another function that would bring mothers together. You meet a twenty-year-old with two kids. They are two-years-old and six-months-old. What is your initial reaction? What are your initial thoughts?

Then, after time, you get to know this mother. You find out that she is married. She is a stay-at-home-mom. She is not on assistance from the government. She isn't assisted other then by her husband with the upbringing of her children. She actually has completed upper-level education. She is a good mother and wife from what you can tell. If at all, how does your opinion change? If you judged her previously does your opinion change?

Am I the only person that gets bothered when people say Xmas instead of Christmas? I mean seriously what exactly are people celebrating when they celebrate "xmas" just a time of year where people get presents? I think people are forgeting the reason that we have this holiday. Christ is the reason for the seasn, and I wish people would realize this and stop saying Xmas. I'm sorry it just annoys me. Does this annoy you too? And if you're not a christian and you celebrate Christmas, why do you do that? explain please.
