Solar cycle 24 should have started last December, scientists now think that it could be as late as 2009 before it begins. There is very little doubt that solar cycle 24 will be weak when it does start. Solar cycle 25 is forecast to be even weaker than 24, if this scenario actually occurs members of the Russian Academy of Sciences indicate that global temperatures could drop by 1.5 degrees C. by 2020. If global temperatures continue to diminish over the next two decades it almost certainly will cause severe hardships for humanity, so I ask is it irresponsible to ignore the warning signs.

A PA atheist group that's tried for years to prevent public religious displays at Christmas, has tried a new tactic

The Freethought Society of Greater Philadelphia wants to put up its own holiday display. The group's display is entitled "The Tree of Knowledge" and it will feature a 15ft evergreen with copies of book covers as "ornaments." Some of the book covers will include the Bible, the Quran, "Ethics Without God," "Why I Am Not a Christian," & "Freethinkers: A History of American Secularism."

While I'm thrilled they want to do something more productive than trying to prevent us celebrating Christmas ....couldn't they have found a different name. This seems to me as a direct reference to the Bible where Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge.

Another thing that's bugging me is why Christmas. Can't they leave this time of year to the 85% of Americans who believe in God for celebrating Christmas. Why now can't they get their own time when nothing else is going on ?

Ok, is there something I'm missing here? I think Brian Sabean's gone off over the deep end. First the Zito signing, then this. I'm not a Giants fan, but I can't believe that they'd even consider moving Tim Lincecum. Lincecum has absolutely ridiculous stuff and I would be surprised if he didn't win multiple Cy Youngs. All he needs is stay healthy and gain experience. I know the Giants need hitting, but still you don't trade a pitcher with as good as Lincecum.

As for the Blue Jays, I think this trade would vault them into immediate contention even in the AL East. You combine Lincecum with Halladay, who might be the most underappreciated pitcher in baseball, you have something real special there.

my friends always say that I'm cold and that I don't have feelings.
I can't understand why. they always tell me about their problems asking me for solutions. and come to me to cry.
I always try to understand their feelings and help them finding a rational solutions to their problems.I am always there for them in hard times but they never show any gratitude instead they always say I have no feelings.
I always try to be considerate and never said they were wrong to feel a certain way. but sometimes I think they take very bad decisions because they are very emotional and later they always admit that.
I don't like to cry and I don't talk about my feelings. is that why they say I am cold or is it something else?
if there was something wrong with me what should I do?

In the past he would "jokingly" tell me how one day he could kill me and brag about how he would one day be a famous serial killer. He recently contacted me after almost 2 years of not hearing from him, and now I'm scared that I've been on his mind. He is extremely narcissistic and needs to be praised all the time. He can not take criticism and believes he is destined to be great when in fact he is a bum with nothing going for him. He has absolutely no empathy to speak of which really bothers me, and he gets very jealous. Once time goes by and I have my successful career up and going and he has no future I fear he will try to take it away from me in jealousy by killing me. the only thing giving me some comfort is that I've told numerous people that if I ever mysteriously get killed that they should report him for murder, and that will give me some peace in the afterl;ife knowing that this scumbag won't get the fame that he so desires. This bothers me all day every day.

That Society and the Laws recognize you have the same rights of Man and Woman in Holy Matrimony?

Do you care that GOD does not bless your union? that no where in Scripture can you have a religious ceremony uniting a same sex couple in Holy Matrimony?

So is what you want is for Society to recognize a Holy Union because you know GOD does not?

Religious freedom was jeopardized by the introduction of the "Constitution Restoration Act of 2004" that was reintroduced in near-identical form in 2005. So far it's gone nowhere, but if introduced again and adopted in the 110th or a later Congress, it would turn the US into a de facto theocracy.

Dominionists like Pat Robertson and others support the bill as do influential sponsoring members of both Houses. Their goal is simple, but they won't admit it - tear down the sacred wall between church and state so the US can be governed by their extremist Christian dogma. It would make believers of other faiths lawbreakers with their version of Christian canon the new law of the land - a very scary prospect for about 75 million non-Christians in the country and many of Christian faith who won't go along.

Please be aware of this bill and write your congressperson to oppose this bill if it ever comes up for vote!!
