Im going to be graduating in "09". I havent been really serious about my grades in high school. But i want to go to college and change all of that. A few days ago I asked an open question about how someone can be the best for 26 races and still lose to someone who gets lucky or runs the best over just 10 races , less than 1/3 of the races. Several people tried to compare NASCAR to baseball, football, basketball and so on. That is the stupidest argument in the world. None of those sports are setup anything like NASCAR. In their "playoffs" only cerntain teams are allowed in. NASCAR still lets 43 drivers compete every race. No loser team in baseball can effect the outcome of a playoff game. Secondly the team with the best records usually are rewarded with bye games or home court advantage. In NASCAR our best team was penalized by 20 points. So please stop comaring NASCAR to other sports cause it doesn't work. The only thing that comes close is Track because it's an individual sport even though you are on a team.

I Believe in God and the Holy Spirit, that dwells within me.
What I dont believe in is satan!!
I realize for whatever reason, that this might send alot of Christians into a frenzy.
I am not asking my fellow Believers to now try and convince me that satan does exist.
Nor am I asking atheists, to try and get me to take a fews more steps in another direction.
I want to hear from someone who feels like I do.

I applied for child care assistance and was denied. I dont make enough to afford a regular daycare and the home daycare's are a mess. They are unreliable, they do more of their own stuff than watch my son. I'm a single mom, I make barely enough to get by but not enough to move forward in life. I want to go back to school, I want to get a car, I want to have everything my son needs without scrapping around for the cash. I have seriously considered quitting my job to stay at home with my son and take assistance for everything. I hate to live off the state when i am more than capable of earning an income but I am starting to feel like that might be the only option to keep my sanity. Does anyone have any good advise for me? thanks for reading.

I have an M-1 Carbine that my grandfather brought back from The Battle of the Bulge. I was looking through a catalog and saw a replacement stock for it and got to thinking if there are any other accesories for it. I am looking at Spain, and when the textsbook talk about a Golden Age, they talk about the age of exploration at Spains Golden Age. But, during the 7 centuries of rule on the Muslims, the first 300 years could also be considered a Golden Age, so I am wondering if there can be more.

When we get married, my fiance wants to legally adopt my daughter, & also so we have the same names. (She is not his child, her bio-dad has always been out of the picture, he has given up any & all legal parental rights he would have, no child support etc) Anyway, how much does this cost? Who do I need to contact at the local courthouse? Do we have to wait until we are married to change her name? If anyone has gone thru a similar situation as this, or knows anything, please help!
