My father in law used to be a land lord. He told me that when he would take tenants to small claims court, if they didn't show up, the case was thrown out and if he still wanted the money, he would have to file with the court again.
I've also been told that if i don't go, the judge will rule in their favor...and it will hit my credit.
So, the main question is, if this does hit my credit, it will be under $500 and we don't have any liens on anything. I own my car, etc. How much will this hurt my credit?
Also, is it possible to ask for their receipts for the ceiling repair and the doors that we didn't damage? And can i ask that they submit their previous tenants damage list (which they took them to court over) so it could be compared to the damages they claim we caused?
And how can we argue 'smell' of the residence upon move out? I cleaned those damn carpets 3 times JUST so they couldn't use this sad excuse of "pet odor" in the home. i have pix of the clean carpet.

We got into an argument about him having his jaw open and looking at other women, I was jealous and he got REALLY upset with me. He says that he does the same things and more for me, I just don't hear him...and he always looks me in the eye and tells me, "You are the most beautiful woman in the world to me" so for me to be jealous of those other women he just looked at was ridiculous and made him feel like I didn't believe him, trust him or believe in us enough to know how much he loves me, my body included. That he has never asked me to change anything about me, but to wear less make-up. Now he hardly talks, he won't let me touch him, and he says he needs a couple days to figure things out...but it doesn't mean he is leaving or doesn't love me. Then he made sure I had everything I needed for those couple days and said "I love you" before he left. I feel so stupid. I let my insecurities push him away. How do I fix this? I hate knowing I made him feel this way. What do I do?

I'm fed up, to say the least. I've helped my ex a few times, but I never expected him to treat me like I'm an ATM!!! Right after we both agreed stop all communications, he asked to borrow $500.00... I got into an accident and it's determined it's 100% the other party's fault. The other party is insured. My car is a total loss. My insurance company (Allstate) offered me a below market price value for me car. They offered $6500 but my car is currently selling around $7500 in the market according to my research. I have countered their offer, faxed over all my research result, can contacted the adjuster's manager. They are still very firm about what they can offer. They said they will not add a penny to the offer.

I don’t understand… this accident is entirely NOT my fault. My insurance company does not have to pay anything for my loss. All cost goes to the other party’s insurance company. Why would my insurance offer me a below market price and force me to take a loss????

I have also filed a claim to California State Insurance Department, don’t know how much they can help me on the case.

Any body has any idea what I should do at this point???

ok well i know the americans had an alliance with france and we had supplies from them and they helped us fight.

i had gone a few months trying to support him as he recently got "saved". but now ive had enough. i havent gone for like a month now and intend to never go again (i was raised very strict pentecostal and am sick of church)and the other day someone from his church called to speak to me. the person was the man who preaches to my husband and basically pushes religion on him. in my opinion he has brainwashed my husband. so tanyways this guy tells me they miss me at church and that God was waiting for me. i was like excuse me? and he was like "God is waiting for you" so i said "is he now, well im quite sure if he needs me he does not need to wait for me in any old building since he already resides in me."


what would you have said??

i hate when these fundies pressure me, dont they know that is a total turnoff??

For some reason, any time my mom runs her hands through her hair, I suddenly get very angry, clench my teeth, feel the urge to punch her hand away, and feel the need to get away from her.
My mom and I are on wonderful terms, so I don't know why I would be angry with her.
It is like an switch is flicked it on as soon as her hands touch her hair and my mood instantly changes.
This doesn't happen to me when anybody else runs their hands through their hair.
Why does this happen to me?
