Annapolis peace talks acted as a mean to isolate Iran. any body in a right mind should be able to recognize this specially at a time that the world is afraid of an attack on Iran by the USA. this is not only a matter of peace in M.E but the world peace! Annapolis peace talks or a big hypocrisy?

I think the countries concerned should turn up for the meeting in order to confront the problems and allegations in order to avoid further conflicts. Reminds me of the documentary where the monkey swings from a tree and pulls the tiger's tail and sometimes smacking it on the bottom and then swinging up the trees.

How can you have a "peace" talk, if the enemy is not involved with it at all? Iran was left out of the talks, as was Hamas. If I am not mistaken, Hamas was elected by the Palestinian people not long ago, and terrorist organization or not, they have stake in the establishment of a Palestinian state. If Suicide attacks continue, there will be no peace.

What would it have hurt if an "emissary" from these enemies had been asked to attend this meeting? It seems to me that it could not have hurt, and it might have helped the situation.

As it is, we have the Iranian President, nursing his hurt pride, yelping about failure and Heaven knows what disruption might take place in the near future. Bush is going to act like the Peace Potentate now, and it is especially ironic to have a Peace Conference, considering our occupation of Iraq and our threats against Iran. If Peace eludes us, how can we help others attain it?

I just hope that the day will come when Israel and Palestine can live in peace. I'm not sure that time is now. I heard one Jewish gentleman call this conference a "Photo Op."

If they honestly want peace then all leaders should be involved.
I don't think that we should be involved normally but since we have invaded and occupied a country in the middle east it is a good idea.

I also believe that in many cases it helps to have a country that is neutral to help the talks along. In this case it wouldn't be us since we are apart of the conflict.

The talks should have been held in a neutral country that truly wants to help and all leaders should attend.
This is just another situation that the USA wants to control.

In reality the talks were more to help us out and make Bush appear to be doing something.
Several countries already have stopped accepting the American dollar and only want payment from trade in the euro.
The administration has not only destabilized another part of the world we have managed to bring down our own dollar to destroy ourselves.
If something is not done soon this country will be very insignificant to the world other then our nuclear power.

We need some one who can get us out of this mess very soon.

There is no permanent solution for peace in the middle east. The reason for the crisis is US presence in that area.Once the US withdraw from middle east ,and allow Musims to live according to their belief ,peace will be established. But this will be again temporary.Muslims themselves fight in between themselves as Shias and Sunnis ( warring factions of Islam). With Nuke capablity they will fight in between themeslves and perish.Once US move out Palestine and Israel also will collapse. So there will be peace in the continent for ever!

The ones who need to be in the peace talks are the ones who are fighting, if they are not involved it would be useless because apparently they don't want peace or they would be there.

Peace cannot be imposed from the outside.

THEATRICS for the benefit of the dumb. Remember, Hamas was DEMOCRATICALLY elected. Any "Peace" talks without them is ...poppycock.
