My dad is a habitual, functional alcoholic who is EXTREMELY emotionally abusive. Every Sat. night I drive 1.5 hours to pick him up from his favorite bar where he drinks from before I wake up in the morning until he calls me to come get him at whatever time he deems necessary in order for him to chug however many drinks he wants. I do not want to be an enabler, but if I leave him there to drive home himself, he will probably kill someone else. Then it would be my fault. I do not have any resources for any kind of help. I have tried talking to him when he his sober, but nothing has changed and he is just as mean/mushy sober as he is drunk. I cannot tell anyone at school...it is a small town and my mom works there....I cannot contact Alateen/Alanon bc mom does not approve of outside help. I am 17 and my sister is 12...I have to go to college next year, but I don't want to leave this for my sister to deal with this, my responsibility....not hers....I don't know what to do. I am 32, and it seems every woman I meet has either slept with alot of guys, has children, still has feelings for an ex, substance abuse problems, or weight/health issues.

I am so baffled by the DTV transition that is suppose to be happening in February 09 can someone actually explain in English what this means? Am I going to have to buy a new tv to support this transition even though I have cable? Any answers that are clear would be helpful thanks

Now, a few months later, her facebook profile states that she is in a relationship. I am absolutely devastated and am in shock. I feel numb to the world and am anticipating a long night of terrible dreams. I am afraid to go to sleep. But I must sleep to perform my duties tomorrow. I am falling apart. I have lost the initiative. But there are no facilities here that can give me help except the chaplain. I am hoping that she will come back, but it makes me feel so dirty to hope that she will leave this new guy. I need help, but do not know how to get it. Help me please!

Okay well I've had this phone for 2 years come April. And starting 2 days ago, It's been acting really strange, when I put it on the charger, It would turn itsself off, and just weird stuff. And yesterday, I went to make a call, and it shut off [with full battery] and I got the white startup screen [the blank one.] but when it turned on, all I could see was the battery symbol, and the signal in the upper left and right hand corners.and the blank theme background.. There were/are no buttons on the bottom that read, "Menu, and Calls" anymore. I can't make calls on it, Nothing will show up except for that screen. The only thing it will do is play music, and even then, it doesn't work right. The 'play' button is in the upper left hand corner. Everything is screwed up. When I try to make a call, (out of memory where the buttons are) it gives me the sound like there's no signal. And when I turn it on, it makes the sound you get when you put it on speakerphone. I've never dropped it either

1.There is no adequate explanation for the origin of life from dead chemicals. Even the simplest life form is tremendously complex.
2.The fossil record, our only documentation of whether evolution actually occurred in the past, lacks any transitional forms, and all types appear fully-formed when first present. The evidence that (ape-men) existed is dubious at best. So called pre-man fossils turn out to be those of apes, extinct apes, fully man, or historical frauds.

So tell me this evolution believers...do you not also have faith in evolution when there is no adequate explanation for the two weaknesses I mentioned above. And are you not solely having faith in what knowledgeable scientists have told you and what they believe is common sense and fact. This is also what believers do, we have faith in a Book that was written by man and you have faith in what scientists have told you even with evidence lacking. So can we all agree that we both are blinded by faith?
