Do you have oven burns to your hands and arms from baking?

LOL, I use oven mitts too but on occasion I will HAVE to lift the aluminum foil which isn't hot only to hit the top of my hand on a hot grate.

Finally, some real cooks are showing up (no offense). When I worked as a nurse in an outpatient setting, while checking pulses I would see burn marks on most of the older German women, who are known around here as being supreme bakers.
I'm not saying I'm good, I'm a klutz but do love to bake! So it made me wonder how many of us have the "iron chef scars'. LOL

LOL! No.....not yet anyway. I did cut my finger though....while slicing potatoes. My hubby sharpened all the kitchen knives, but forgot to tell me. lol

Oddly enough, not this time! I'm known for doing that same thing, lifting foil and burning my hand. But I did nick my finger with a knife.

Nothing that blistered, so it was a good kitchen day for me. I did lift a lid from a large pan of boiling potatoes in a clumsy fashion and took a blast of steam to my face. It's OK. I can see again!

I use to, but there are now long cooking mitts that fit the whole forearms and hands.

HOW, did you know...I have oven mits that
go up to my elbows, and I still got burned!!
OH well, it was all worth it.!!!
