My husband and my first dance was to Perfect Day by Lou Reed...which many think is about his heroin addiction. We love the song, though and went for it anyway.

Anyone else dance to something a little different? If so...what was it?

I understand medicaid . . . are there any other examples or perhaps a definition? I was watching a great documentary about abortion (neither side looked crazy) produced by Frontline and this was a huge sticking point.

Can anyone explain a theory of origins (universe, life, complexity) from an atheist's perspective?

I think I have a pretty good grasp on the creationist's claims, but I'm wondering if creationists can comprehend the an atheistic view?

((Of course, there's no consensus among atheists, but an explanation of any godless theory would work))

I'm a 15 year-old American and i can speak full English and i am learning intermediate Spanish. I am thinking about learning Japanese, but i have heard the writing system (katakana, kanji, etc.) is very difficult, and the sentence structure is hard for English-speakers to memorize. Would it be very hard to learn Japanese?

A couple of months ago I was backed into by a Hummer. And instead of exchanging insurance info with me, the kid took off. Now the police found him and I have the report and it says "No Citation Was Issued" Does that mean he didnt get into any trouble for hitting me and then running? If so is there somthing I could do about that? The kid was 16....what is that teaching him??????? It just doesnt seem fair.....

Pedrioa winning the AL ROY over Delmon Young was wrong.

CC Sabathia blees his heart winning the CY Young over Beckett was wrong.

The gold gloves were given out on sympathy.

What other surprises are in store for us?

Widening waterway would deter illegals & prevent Texan ranchers from having waterways cut off from there farms. It sends a better message to Mexico as well. Texas & Mexico show support. The Border Patrol shows some support as well. This sounds like a positive step to take. Some say increased drowning risk, but they would be hurt trying to cross the proposed fence as well. What do you think?

I remember hearing a story that Pamala Anderson was naked in her car and nobody cared except a reverend that seen her. I guess he went to the police and all they did was make her apologize to him. So i'm guessing its not illegal to be naked in public in LA? If so, I would not bring my kids to LA. Ever.

I was raised in a strict catholic household and I do not think this behavior is appropriate

My grass was a healthy green color until about a month ago. I don't own any pets and I live in sunny Los Angeles. Now it's turning yellow/brown and thinning out. I water every other day for 10 minutes. Why could this be happening and how do I fix it?

The first test was clearly a positive result. Both lines were very clear (1 for negative, 2 lines for positive). The next morning I took the same kind of test, and I think it was negative. The first line was very clear, the second, indicating pregnancy, was barely visible.

Hello. I'm hoping for some advice from someone in the know in collections or banking. My daughter-in-law went into the negative on her checking account back in July. She had not stopped an automatic payment on her car which she had issued from a different account. Thus she double paid and got an NSF of 37.50 to boot. Well, she spoke with someone at the bank who was not helpful and instead was snotty to her: I mention this because she's very sweet and very easily intimidated. So she chose to ignore the problem and just start using money orders to pay bills. She's currently 8+ months along and I only found out about these banking problems the other day when I asked her why she was so upset when we started talking about financing a more appropriate car for transporting the new baby. Long and short of it---the bank charged daily overdraft fees for 60 days and she now owes them 725.00, 375.00 of that in fees. I've offered to negotiate with the bank as she's a wreck. Any words of advice?
