According to a simple physiological model, an athletic adult needs 20 calories per day per pound of body weight to maintain his weight. If he consumes more or fewer calories than those required to maintain his weight, his weight changes at a rate proportional to the difference between the number of calories consumed and the number needed to maintain his current weight. The constant of proportionality is 1/3500 pounds per calorie.

(a) Suppose a person has a constant caloric intake of 3000 calories per day. Write a differential equation for W(t).

(b) What is the equilibrium solution?

If "space" within the Universe is expanding, do all objects within it also expand?

Say a person could stand outside our Universe and is able to measure the progression of its expansion. And he has a twin on the other side.

At some point in time he will take another measurement and observe that the Universe has grown larger. But will an object within the Universe - in the form of his twin - be proportionately larger along with the Universe, or will he be the same size as the person outside the Universe?

I ask this because I was wondering why it is that "space" is expanding and not the objects within it.

does birth control cause acne?

I have been using Yaz birth control for a month and I am breaking out severly around my chin area. I also use proactiv and my skin has cleared everywhere else but my chin. But my chin area is very dry, I'm using a mousturizer but still breaking out. What can I do, or does my body just need to get used to the birth control?

WoW!!! i need some feed back!!?

ok i have had a very good friend for about almost 2 years. she went through some problems with a guy, he was married lied to her, and now when she found out all the dirt, her and his wife are friends and talk all the time. BUT she has them both fooled into thinking that she is pregnant. and has been telling this lie for about 2 months now, she gave them due dates and everything and has both of their myspace passwords and goes onto thier account without them even knowing. at first it was funny, to get back at him(he is in iraq and cant do much), but now she seems to be going kinda psycho with it all. and i saw some of the things she has put on the internet about herself and they are complete lies!!!! i dont know what to think of her anymore!! she was there for me alot and now (without her knowing) i see a whole diff. side of her i full of lies and drama i never seen before. what do i do? im kinda scared she will f*** me over if i be straight with her! i dont know what she is capable of.

....get a little drippy when they have these fantasies about Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney being prosecuted for defending their country? I mean, I know they are desperately looking for a compelling false-flag issue like Global Warming to distract from the real issues and take control, but it's starting to seem somewhat like a frenzy. Ever since 9/11 when black turned out to be the winning color and they found themselves stuck with the white pieces, they've been circling like sharks. Do they really imagine there will be a climax of prosecutions to undo it all for them? ...make the world forget they took the wrong side?

I just upgraded from regulard directv dvr to hd dvr (reciever hr 21).

But I hate the new remote that came with it.

Why does MLB think that 6 umps are only needed for postseason?

Its the only sport where officials are added for the post. Is the reg. season not important? 6 man crews all year round, and no replay. Stadium buliders need to make more distint markings, Not a blended pepsi ad with a line on it. I think the 1st row in the outfield should have a basket like wrigley. EVERYWHERE
