I'm really curious how your beliefs go.

The Bog Nug, I've already asked the Christians how they can back-up their claim that the Bible is God's words, now I want to know how Mormons back up their claim concerning the book of Mormons as what completes the Bible.

I can't make you the believe any book by evidence or reason.
They are faith based books and only God can give you the answers.

As others have pointed out, we do not believe that the Book of Mormon completes the Bible. We do believe that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it is scripture.

As far as backing up our claim, I am not sure what you would want. Relgion and faith are not based on physical proof or logical evidence. I believe that the lives of the members of the church stand as a pretty good testimony. As a whole we are a good christian people. We live long healthy lives, have lower divorce rates, achieve high levels of education, and truly try to live our religion.

If it is some kind of evidence that you seek, then read the Book of Mormon, implement the teachings of the Gospel into your life, pray to God to know if these things are true, and see how it all turns out.

Good luck.

The Book of Mormon is another witness of Christ and contains, as does the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting gospel, meaning, the set of laws, ordinances, and doctrines necessary to achieve fullness of salvation.

There is physical and logical evidence of the Bible and Book of Mormon if you want to pursue that- but first and foremost you should know that that the Book of Mormon and the BIble are spiritual books, not primarily just for historical purposes. If you will understand their message, read them with an open heart to the precious doctrines contained in them. Take the challenge to study and ponder the doctrines and to ask God in prayer if they are true.

The BoM doesn't complete the bible.

The bible wasn't even existant until 398 AD...

So if you would ask this question to Jesus or the 12 disciples and they would look at you like you were crazy, not because of the Book of Mormon(although that would help) but because they have no clue what the Bible would be.

I dont think any religion can give concrete proof to back up any beliefs.

We dont believe it completes the Bible. We believe it another testament of Christ. It is just the prophetic writings of prophets in the americas, while the Bible is the prophetic writings of people mostly over in the middle east. There is a good chance there are prophetic writings in far east asia or russia or europe. We believe that God has always taught his people thru prophets and apostles and that he continues to do it that way now.
Scriptures go hand in hand with each other, but as long as humans still exist on this earth, the teachings of God and Christ wont ever be complete.

The bible is a determination of historical information written to somebody else and compiled by making use of uninspired adult men. The information are genuine information however the bible is purely a smattering of what become carried out in a bygone erra. that's like crumbs below the table. in case you bought carry of a letter that become written from one properly-time-commemorated golfer to a distinctive properly-time-commemorated golfer and the content fabric become approximately golf, there could be plenty which you ought to no longer understand, surprisingly in case you weren't a golfer. this is because of the fact they weren't speaking to you at your point of be attentive to-how. inspite of the undeniable fact that somebody ought to than decide that they be attentive to all approximately golf in step with those letters and infomration that they won from different non golfers. this is definitely what you have with the letters interior the hot testomony and the religions of at present. that's no ask your self that there are maximum of interpretations of the bible. The religions of at present are based upon traditions that have been exceeded down for hundreds of years and what's written interior the bible. this is all they have. each time the Lord has had something to declare to his human beings, he has continuously referred to as prophets. in many circumstances for the period of history, prophets have been taken away as a results of loss of sufficient faith to take heed to them. Then the folk relied upon the words of the ineffective prophets. An occasion of those have been the scribes and pharisees in Christs day, which he condemned. yet another fake concept is that the books of the bible talk for the completed bible such because of the fact the assertion in Revelations that condemns including to this e book. The bible become compiled a pair of hundred years after the final e book of the bible become written.

The key is context, I would suggest you read this article written by two evangelical scholars on mormon apologetics.
http://www.cephasministry.com/mormon_apologetics_losing_battle.html

Long story short, Mormons are spending millions of dollars in producing thousands of documents supportings links between Mormon theology(IE Book of Mormon, nature of god, Temple ordinances, etc.) and the 1st century context of the scriptures. The amount of evidence compiled is staggering yet instead of analyzing the research, detractors tend to just dismiss is or ignore it as not a threat(which is why the authors wrote this article; to try and motivate the evangelicals to do something about it).

So far, we're the only ones who have the evidence to back up that the LDS Doctrine, including the book of mormon, in perfectly logically conclusive and cohesive to the bible.

Jesus Christ proclaims it to have the fullness of the Gospel a gospel set out in the Bible but confused by men. D&C 27:5 is one place the Lord proclaims it to be of Him.

Then there is the testimony of the Holy Spirit.
