So this past weekend, my uncles state high school field goal record was "beaten" by a kicker whose team used a little-known rule: the free kick.

What this does is allow the receiving team of a punt to call a fair catch, then the place kicker is allowed to set the ball on a tee, and attempt a "field goal" from the yard marker where the ball was caught. There is no defense, and there is no place holder (its sets atop a tee).

My question is this: Should this new record have an asterisk by it, or should it be in a separate category all together? It seems to me that this situation is entirely different and wholy not comparable to a real field goal, where the kicker must deal with a rushing defense and a holder who may place the ball incorrectly.

What say you?

I have a friend that I have known for almost 15 years. We became friends in high school but since college we have become less and less similar. I have a job, she's still in school. She is uncomfortable talking with me about her relationship or money, I find our conversations very generic for people that used to be so close and I found myself not wanting to talk to her. I stopped calling her last January but she has continued to call me monthly since then, and it's been nearly a year. I feel bad to ditch her like that but she obviously doesn't feel the same way about our friendship and I don't know how to tell someone that I don't want to be friends anymore. Does that make me an awful person? Any advice would be helpful.

name calling and violence, is this a normal withdrawal sympton from cymbalta? How long will this last? Her doctor told her nothing, the insurance wouldnt pay for cymbalta so he put her on something else and never told her about the withdrawal symptons for stopping cymbalta cold turkey!

I am on the verge of being evicted, and cannot find work to help buy what my children need for the winter. They need coats, boots, and clothing. I am having the big dinner at my house and plan to serve over twenty. I generally prefer to serve this many people in a buffet style so that there aren't tons of dishes cluttering the table and I don't have to jump up every few minutes to refill a dish. My mother in law has been vocal this year about meals only being served family style and how much she hates buffet style. She takes offense easily and sulks if she doesn't get her way. I seem to offend her frequently without meaning to - I am apparently too blunt for her and should tiptoe around her feelings and phrase things differently. Two years ago she pouted and sulked through the meal and left early because I had someone carve the turkey in the kitchen (where everyone was gathered) and not at the table. I am stressed already and Thanksgiving is weeks away. Can anyone offer any insight or suggestions? Thanks.

I was in the hospital for 2 days, had 2 cat scans, some drugs throughout the stay, and a stent inserted into me. That was all I had and i got a $40,000 bill, this doesn't seem right to me just from comparing what others have had done to them and their cost.
