I've seen 2 specialists one claims it to be a natural aging process (I don't think so!) and the other.....inflammed optic nerves.

I have appointments to see other medical specialists (scans, neuro's etc) within the next week...in the meantime, I would appreciate any professional opinions i.e can I relieve the symptoms in any way?

I know that some out there who think the midwest is simply flyover country and Global Warming has been caused by the evil Republicans. But, can someone explain why having a shorter and warmer winter is such a bad thing? I have lived through too many cold and ugly winters and am puzzled why some think global warming is such a bad thing? Also can it be proven conclusively that Global warming even is happening? What will be the next great cause be? Global Cooling? Sorry, it's called "Winter". To all the Lefty nutjobs out there, prove to me why Global warming in the midwestern United States is Bad!!!!!

My eyes feel dry all the time like all the moisture has been sucked from them and all that's left is itchy, irritated red eyes. I don't do drugs or anything either so don't go there. My question is, besides Visine, what are some good remedies for dry eyes.
Thank you!!

In my opinion, a good game must have: 1) A diverse setting that is pleasant (i.e., one that doesn't depress me to the point of suicide--half life 2, bioshock, etc.) 2) Well-developed characters, 3) A plot that has substance (i.e., not the world is threatened by the evil forces of _____ and _____ must save it). Of course, there are many good games that follow this format, but are character driven and htus entertaining (e.g., almost any Final Fantasy game). 4) Managble, usable gameplay and interface.

Didn't get such a great response last time, but I still think this one gets a lot of interesting answers...

Let me start things off:

1.) I can listen to my favorite song ("Don't Give Up", by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush) just fine when it's on my CD player; but whenever I hear it being played on the radio, it invariably makes me cry.

2.) I am a "closet" Rush Limbaugh fan.

3.) It wasn't until I was 11 years old and had breakfast at a friend's house that I found out that eggs could be prepared in a way other than "scrambled".

4.) My favorite superhero is the incredibly obscure "Captain Britain".

5.) When I remarried, I took on my wife's last name.

I've noticed that there are some students who use the languages section of Y!A as a means of getting answers to their homework questions, so they won't have to do the work themselves. Unfortunately, there are also some answerers who are more than happy to do their work for them. Why? I know that everyone here enjoys getting points, but don't the answerers realize that they aren't doing the questioners any favors by doing their homework for them? After all, the only way the questioners are going to learn their target language is if they actually do the work themselves.

Hillary says “I’m your girl,” now she’s saying the men are sexist?

Politics is a tough business and frankly, if she's having trouble standing up to John "$400 coiffe" Edwards, how will she stand up to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jung Il?

Is she nutty, or does it depend on what your definition of "is" is?

Let's dish.

I left 6 months ago because he is an acoholic. I would have to go stay the night elsewhere on many occasions when he was drunk and mean, but not physically. His lawyer keeps saying I don't have grounds for divorce and they are contesting it. There is substanial money involved. My attorney says the grounds are real. There is no chance to reconcile. I am not seeing anyone so it is not for spite..I am just not understanding unless it is about the money, which he will have to pay me anyway. Why would buying time make a difference if that is what they are doing? It is not against his religion and he is not trying to get me back. What do you think? I am a little confused here.

"The life and opinions of Tristram Shandy," is a graphic novel of extraordinary complex and bizzare assertions of doubtful veracity... Yet it is more interesting, entertaining and historically accurate than the Bible... So if people can accept "intelligent design," and a magical deity who likes to sadistically torment his creations as fact... Why not Tristram Shandy?
