I like the Primsa Color Markers personally. I'm also new to working with markers, but many of my illustration friends are using Prisma or Trias...I want to get into this...can't decide which to try! Let me know what you decide! :)

http://www.elfwood.com/farp/markers2/ This site describes the 3 best markers out on the market for inking and coloring. I found this a great way to learn about this in general! Thanks, I am going to try out the trias set I think. The Copics sound great, but are def. way too pricey for a beginner. If your a pro illustrator, I say go for it!

You have seen Copic and Prismacolor mentioned. I'd like to point out that Design and Pantone also make very fine markers. Thanks to the several brands available, that means that there are, literaly, hundreds of colors from which to choose.
Between the fine and broad point markers, my collection had over 300 pens, MOST of which got regular use in my color illustrations. Sadly, I rarely use them, now, since I have gone almost 100% digital. But I still recommend markers to anyone seeking good color on paper technique.

Prisma color , but I think that they are the same as Copic markers. People say use copic for anime/manga, but they seem the same as Prismacolors, so choose which ever ones are cheaper, or the ones you like better.

Copic markers are the best for artwork. They are a little pricey though. But you can do shading and everything.
