Definitely! My ex boyfriend and I were together for over a year and we completely cut off all communication with other friends and became an anti-social couple. During that period I lost all my friends. However, towards the end of our relationship I met a girl who was in a similar situation as me, with no friends due to a boyfriend. Our relationships ended at the same time and we immediately became best friends in no time. We were the only comfort we had to eachother. After we started making new friends and eventually met new boyfriends we quickly realized we had nothing in common and our friendship didn't work out. We were two lonely girls desperate for a friend and we just so happened to meet at the perfect time.

I am in my 40's, and believe me the vicious ways in which BEST GF's treat one another is incredible.

I was stabbed in the back about 18 months by someone who of course was such a GOOD friend. I was always there for here, went thru the dramas of her breakups with her many BF's......but she was a big drinker, I was not at the time, but became one to keep up with her......she drank because she was unhappy and bitter and a man hater, and I knew she resented all of us married GF's.....when I started to drink to much and lose control, she turned on me, calling me a drunk,a F-up etc.....I eventually pulled myself together with the help of a VERY GOOD FRIEND, who I had neglected way to long to hang out with this loser, but still hung in there for me, waiting for me to admit I needed help...and hubby of course.

We all have some friend, a very very very good friend, who maybe we don't talk to or hang out as much with as we used to...because maybe we meet other people, think they are "cooler: or whatever, no matter the age.....you do different things, that are fun at first, but these things aren't really you...and hopefully you haven't been to much of an *** to these old good friends, and you can rekindle the friendship you once shared....

If there is someone you haven't talked to in a long time, why not call her today?

I have been backstabbed twice. One more minor than the other. I had this close friend, I'll call her LuAnne. When I left my regular group of friends, she took me into her group of friends. But soon she was treating me like a baby, calling me weird, basically stomping all over me. I think it was because she knew I needed a group to be in, and she thought she could be mean to me because I would still stay her friend. Well I had had enough of this spoiled brat. I told another friend (I'll call her Brooke) about it, and she shared to me that LuAnne had called her stupid! She also told me that LuAnne told her I was getting on her nerves.I started ignoring Bratty McBrat Pants, I expected her to talk to me, but she didn't. I decided to at least have a little converstaion. She ingnored me! I was all like "Why are you igoring me?" She said that I was mad at her and hated her. I asked her who told her that and she said that Brooke and the whole group of friends told her. That hurt. What I told Brooke was just venting, and I think Brooke knew that. I stay away from them most of the time. They just made me feel bad about myself, and I don't deserve that. If LuAnne didn't like me, she should have told me instead of being mean. I was a very good friend to her, and now she has lost a good friend.

I have had a friend back stabb me. I used to date this guy I really liked him, but it just didn't go anywhere you know, but we were still friends, she knew how I felt for him, a couple of years later she started dating him. Rule #1 never ever date a friends ex.

Friends for 20 years and one day she decided she wants what was in my husbands pants. Didn't kill her, but we no longer speak. She knows she must never again come near me, my kids or my Big & Juicy husband. She has been warned. Next time I'll tackle her.
